    Pretty much.

They’ve(NBA Media/Twitter)been begging that man to demand a trade for like the last 4-5 years, along with Beal. It just got to the point where people were starting to get frustrated with HIM because he wouldn’t demand a trade, which is when I kinda knew we’ve jumped the shark on this whole thing.

I don’t really view Herro as a positive asset personally. Not to mention they already have the backcourt in place.

I think Maxey is up there with Herro as far as young. Maxey just isn't doesn't make sense anymore with the other guards there. I can see the Sixers trying to go after Lavine.

Nets probably has the best package if you're talking picks. I know they want to do right by Dame, but at the same time, they have to do what's best for them.

"The Heat are prepared to offer a package centered around Tyler Herro, with possibly Duncan Robinson and picks, sources say. The Heat would prefer to keep Caleb Martin out of any trade scenarios."

          From Chris Haynes.

I'm sorry that's a weak package. It made sense for a Beal trade, but not for Dame.

Honestly, it’s all about if YOU want to do right by the player or do the right by the team?

Obviously, we’re all going to say do right by the team and trade him to whoever offers you the best deal. But in todays NBA where players are always talking, good relationships matter and if you’re going to be the team that is going to what they want and not listen to your franchise player’s requests(Trade or requesting a player)there can be downsides to that as well.

We know how these things work though. When a star player makes a trade request to a specific team, they always get what they want. Kyrie/Kawhi are the exceptions.

All true, but at the same time does it hurt Portland who can't seem to attract free agents outside of overpaying for fringe level players like Grant anyways? No package they get back will meet public demand from trading him but sending him to Miami for Herro and other pieces doesn't excite me at all. If they're gonna go full rebuild now, they need to figure out a way to package Nurkic with Dame and really move on.

If there's anyway they haven't officially signed the deal with Grant, pull that **** and let him walk. No reason to pay that man an ungodly sum of money while in a full fledged rebuild.

On the other end of the spectrum, you can always attach a reason to why something actually happened, and disregard everything else in hindsight

but fact is, Here we are. Maybe they knew something we didn’t.

I would definitely pull that offer even if it supposedly made them look bad. Assuming they only offered it thinking Lillard was coming back. The kuzma deal Washington while not perfect is a lot more tradable then 5 year grant one.

Yeah, I'm pulling that Grant offer, and packaging Nurkic with Dame. Might as well free up the future cap space.
