I do see Raptors moving one of OG or Siakam. I do want to say that those are two of top available wings. I could see Rockets making a move on of those wings if the Harden rumors were true.

If that package is true, than you're talking Dame-Thybulle-OG-Grant-Nurkic. That drastically improves perimeter defense. But unless you're expecting OG to turn into a premier two-way player, I don't think it raises their ceiling to a contender. I don't know how think that bumps them up that high in standings. I can see that being a #6-8 seed team. Plus they still don't have great depth. Thybulle should be a 7th man off the bench, and you're hoping Sharpe pops.

Honestly if I'm Portland, I'm seriously considering trading Dame and rebuilding. I'm saying that because they're not just a move or two away from contending. They could upgrade both SG and SF spots, and one of those would have to be an elite two way wing. Then, could also upgrade over Nurkic as well. Then still could still upgrade the bench as well. I think it would be more easier and wiser to trade Dame while his value is higher than thinking they can realistically be a contender. The West should be better next year and making a marginal upgrade, would still likely leave them as a play-in team.

OG value is a top 5 pick this year ? Maybe it is after they tuned down 3/4 1st at the deadline.

If Raptors get 3 or 4 without giving up 13, I wonder if they'd then try packaging that with 13 to get the 2nd?

I’m still trying to figure out where this high value came from in the first place?

I think his value is pretty justifiable honestly. It’s basically what Murray was traded for, and I’d personally rate OG as slightly more valuable to most teams given he’s easier to “fit”.

All defensive team guy who leads the league in steals and could probably get you an efficient 20ppg. He’s technically averaged 17 over the past two years but would be capable of more IMO. He was averaging 20 a game this year before that wrist injury took him out for most of Feb.

With all that said normally that type of trade value is for “stars” and you’re giving that up for him knowing he’s going to be ideally a 3rd option or in a 2A/2B/2C type of situation.

Would have loved for Memphis to give them Brooks and whatever amount of picks they were asking at the deadline.

If he’s worth that, then I know Bridges’ value is at least that high at a minimum.

                  Carmelo announced his retirement.

In this same week the Nuggets could advance to their first ever NBA Finals too.

The mid 00s Nuggets look with Melo was one of my faves in basketball

So what do we think of Jaylen Brown assuming Boston loses in 4 or 5 games ? He is owed the supermax like what next year ?

Is that the player that OKC just offers all those 1st round picks for ?

I think the first question is what type of package would Boston want for Brown? I'm assuming they want to maintain contender status. So, I'm not sure if a potential Houston or OKC package would really entice Boston, unless they're immediately flipping it in a 3 team trade.

Per Woj the Lakers are expected to match offers for Rui and Reaves, and DLo extensions are tabled until after the season.

Seems that the Lakers know most teams have starting a starting PG and that DLo's value will be much lower than the 38 mil on his cap hold, and DLo knows the Lakers don't want to lose him for nothing either. So there may be a bit of back and forth between the two this off-season. Who knows if that ends with DLo staying with the Lakers or moved in a S&T.

Assuming Reaves and Rui are matched, the Lakers would look something like Bron-AD-Beasley-Bamba-Vando-Christie-Reaves-Rui- and maybe DLo

If I were just guessing I would assume they would like to keep Lonnie, Dennis, Brown Jr, and Gabiel if they are all still min/some portion of the MLE. Lonnie would be the one most likely to price himself out.

With Beasley and Bamba basically out of the rotation anyways the Lakers could basically let them go (Beasley team option, Bamba non-guarnateed contract) to lighten the burden of paying Reaves, Rui, DLo, or if Jeanie is willing to spend after seeing this team is a solid playoff team as is they could flip those contracts for another piece or two that better fits their needs.

If LA wants to win the title they are going to have to make some more moves. Because that group with the injury issues of AD & Lebron isn't good enough.

It will be interesting to see if they keep Beasley and Bamba around because not having those mid-tier salaries hurt them lately.

The move that needs to be made is trading AD while his value is high, but I don't think that's realistic.

I feel fairly confident that teams will be circling Boston trying to get him. Portland and Houston seem like two obvious ones that will try.

Things got scary with a few of the interviews they had but this is about as good a final list as I could have hoped for.
