    Some more Coaching Updates:

It has become normal for coaches to wear the brunt of failed postseason expectations, but the Celtics could show patience with Mazzulla.

If his body isn’t feeling right, and the preparation he had to go through this time around took its toll and he’s legitimately thinking about it from that angle, believable. But his emotions are so high that he just can’t think clearly so he’s just saying random **** even though he’s advanced this far like 12 times? Nahhh. It’s not effecting him like that of all players.

You’re preaching to the choir brotha. I’m just saying it’s good to see you finally see this. I’ve literally been saying exactly what you’ve just said over the years when LeBron has said and done narrative shaping things that he knew exactly what he was doing by doing it and it was basically ‘there go King hating on LeBron again.’ ‘It ain’t that serious King’ etc.

Wasn’t saying it at the time to hate on the man, just was calling what I saw since nobody else was saying it. Cause we all know there’s not a chance in hell LeBron is hanging it up without a season long farewell tour like Kobe and D-Wade got. Plus he still wants that opportunity to play with Bronny.

We tend to only talk about athletes being human when they mess up or we don’t want them picked on, but man, if you believe he was ever a competitor at all, getting swept in the playoffs - especially in a case where your athletic mortality is on full display - is still gonna sting…

Not saying he’s even remotely retiring or wasn’t sending some kind of message as well but I don’t believe he’s completely void of emotion and has contingencies at the ready 24:7 lol

Anyone think Lebron getting traded to golden state is realistic or just fake speculation?

Golden state becomes title favorites and LA gets several young players for a 39 year old.

I said it before, no way LeBron retires or goes elsewhere.

He's staying in LA for 1 more year then leaving to go wherever his son gets drafted and then retires either that season or the one after.

Latest report on Raptors coach I read seems like they might be zeroing in on a candidate but can't sign them yet.

Sergio Scariolo seems like one of the faves now. Former Raptors assistant during their title season (Lowry gave him the game ball after winning the title), and longtime coach in Europe.

Given some of the other candidates being interviewed, I wonder how likely they'd be to hire him and try bringing in others as assistants instead, especially since Griffin is probably gone too.

Already tons of random *** Laker scenarios floating around, as expected. The Bron + Lakers effect in off-season rumors has been wild. I enjoy the hypotheticals, I know it annoys many.. but my armchair thoughts…

I don’t think they trade Bron or AD unless one of both of them want out. In which case I think the Lakers would gladly try to get back some decent young pieces and pics to restart this without having to tank down to dog ****. Reality is this doesn’t look like something they can keep building around AD long term anyways.

Are there scenarios where that could play out.. maybe .. AD “going home” and getting something from Chicago, LeBron + AD going to the Knicks together, those feel like not likely scenarios but also something where you’re like sure there’s a TINY chance.. this LeBron bolting to Dallas/Phoenix/Golden State or swapping AD for Kyrie just feels 0% chance scenarios.

What I don’t understand amongst all the rumors is this idea that the Lakers might drop everyone on the roster but Reaves to clear 30 million in space.. that makes absolutely no ****ing sense lol. They could retain basically this whole roster, which if healthy probably is a contender again, and have multiple ways to land a 30 mil level player.. sign and trade DLo, retain and trade Beasley + Bamba (combined 27 mil).. why if there was a 30 mil level player possibly coming available that a team would move for picks or just to not lose for nothing would they gut the entire roster for him? Makes no sense at all.

Only guy out of the running really is Kyrie and maybe VanVleet. But if they really wanted VanVleet they could easily just tell him to pick up his option this year, trade for him with the promise to sign him to an extension, and send Toronto the number 17 pick this year for their troubles, or a future right to swap or something. I don’t understand this notion that they’d just drop everyone on the team just to sign a guy like ****ing Fred VanVleet lol.

VanVleet, Reaves, Bron, AD, and literally the rest of the roster be minimum deals? That’s worse than the team they just had. Even if it’s Kyrie that’s worse than the team they just had. Who’s coming up with these expert ideas.

LeBron to GSW for a season, then he signs wherever his son is drafted. Pretty straight forward stuff.

I do think next year's Free Agency class(2024) is pretty decent. If you would rank players in 5 tiers(1 being superstar, 5 being end of bench), I don't think they're are tier 1 guys, but there are enough tier 2 & 3 guys for it would be worthwhile to have cap space in 2024.
