Problem is nobody is likely to give up a ton knowing it could be a 1 year rental. Knicks have some nice young pieces and salary they could send, but Philly is trying to win so.. who knows.

Harden, now, falls into the Harris category of trade target. The benefits are Playmaking, shot creation(mainly stepbacks lol), and large expiring contract. Harden is probably better now as the #3 option, but still wants to be the #1.

The question for Philly is whether they want to make Maxey the primary ball handler, or bring in a PG. Maxey is best as a score first guy. He did do well before the Harden trade as the PG. His turnovers were very low. But, he deferred too much as a PG. If you bring in a PG, preferably need a tall Defensive playmaking PG. But, if Maxey improves his playmaking, that would take his game to the next level. Plus, it is easier to find a SG than a PG.

A tall, defensive, playmaking PG…it writes itself.

Unless it's a surprise team, I just feel Clippers got the best offer of meh players. As you said, for a potential one year rental, you aren't going to want to trade good young players. I would do a Harden and Korkmaz for Powell, Covington, and Mann. Mann likely isn't going to get much PT with Harden and Westbrook there.

If I could choose a PG who can fit well next to Maxey, I would say Jrue Holiday or a healthy Lonzo Ball.

I would have to see the deal. We need a secondary ball handler next to Brunson but his efficiency isn’t what you’d want there. Obviously, there’s the defensive concern.

Would’ve loved for it to happen years ago, Madison Square Harden was right there!

Harden does not like playing off ball. At least he was willing to take catch and shoot threes, which he was good at this year. But he doesn't move without the ball. He has a very inefficient offensive game. He can't finish around the rim, his mid range was terrible in playoffs. He lives off taking low % shots and getting free throws.

Mans has finessed the last 2 teams he’s been on.

Big scammer energy from that guy. He’d fit perfectly in Atlanta just for that alone.

I'll be just glad to not see Harden take 7 seconds to get the ball over half court, then another 8-10 seconds to pass the ball. Or just drive and flail his arms and act appalled that he didn't get fouled lol. His 2 to 3 lazy passes that leads to pick 6s. His terrible transition defense. Him being a statue without the ball. I didn't like seeing him still try to hook arms or try and blatantly draw fouls.

I'm done with the Harden experience lol

That's the part that's crazy to me. I would not trade for James Harden no matter what. If the situation goes back he's going to ask for a trade. That's not going to work. There is no way I'm offering him anything over 25 million a season.

Mentally scarred for life. I'd rather take a step back, than have another season of Harden. I really didn't think he would buy in to Nurse's system. I want them to go to a quicker paced Motion offense. Even though the last three seasons were Embiid’s best statistical seasons. I felt the 2017-18 season was the best version of him with Brett Brown's motion offense. I rather see Embiid’s average 27-12-5-2 than 33ppg.
