So where do the masses see the Pistons going into the playoffs? Nationally they still kind of have that under-the-radar feel. Heat - Suns - Spurs - Sonics... Pistons seem to be maybe the 5th in the line of favorites.

I think that's how they like it.

Suns over Memphis 4-1
Spurs over Nuggets 4-2
Kings over Sonics 4-3
Dallas over Houston 4-3

Miami over NJ 4-2
Wizards over Bulls 4-2
Detroit over Philly 4-2
Boston over Indiana 4-2


Some of them aren't as close as you all think. Namely, Nuggets are overrated, Shaq will bwn NJ, the Bulls are depleted (severely), and Boston is winning it all

No, I think its pretty much Phoenix and San Antonio out West and Detroit and Miami out East. Those are everyone's favorite. From there everyone has their own predictions about who's goin to the finals and who's gonna win it all. I'd say the Mavs are fifth as far as favorites go.

BTW, this is going to be a great 1st round.

I just hate that ABC sucks so badly.

Why schedule the 1st day of the playoffs on the same day as the NFL Draft....sheesh

I know. Why did they do that? You gotta wonder if tehir ratings will drop because of it. The first round will be awesome. Excellent matchups. It will be very interesting to see if the lower seeds like the nets and the Grizzlies will play a competitive series.

-This is gonna be one of the best playoffs in a LONG time...And that's saying something since there have been some great playoffs in the past 10-15 years

-As much as it pains me to say,cause I like Steve Nash,the Suns will not get past the 1st round.Memphis has more depth,plays much better defensively and they can play style.They have a lot of swingmen that they can throw at PHX that the Suns will have trouble handling...

Ok gonna get my predictions for the first round in real fast

First Round

West:
Phoenix over Memphis (4-0) - yeah im calling the sweep i know there's going to be atleast 1 sweep in the first round, memphis might be a good defensive squad but i don't see how they can run with the Suns, also the Grizz have no main scorer that can consistently give them 30 pts a night in this series, and you can't forget their near collapse at the end of the season.

San Antonio over Denver (4-2) - quite a few people have the Spurs in 6 but it all depends on how healthy Duncan is going to be, and i think Denver can win a few in this series, Carl has them playing again since he came..but they are playing the Spurs...

Seattle over Sacremento (4-3) - Seattle is more of a finesse team and needs to consistently have good shooting nights to make this series short, but i think this will be a tough series.

Dallas over Houston (4-2) - Dallas has good depth and is playing defense now i think the Rockets will be overmatched, but Tmac is going to have a good game or two.

East
Miami over New Jersey (4-3) - Shaq not being at full strength definitely hurts the Heat, and the Nets picked the right time to get hot, VC and Kidd are playing some of their best ball now this series will go down to a game 7.

Detroit over Philadelphia (4-1) - Things haven't exactly been all gravy for the sixers after C-Webb arrived i don't know how far Iverson can take them in this series.

Celtics over Pacers (4-2) - This series could be close, but i think the Celtics are just the better team.

Washington over Chicago (4-2) - as much as i loved the Bulls cinderella season i'm sorry to say but it ends here, they're missing two of their key players in Deng and Curry and Washingtons young backcourt of Arenas, Hughes is just to much of a mismatch, this season is a good building block for the Bulls though, and shows promise.

I got Tickets for Game 1. 90 Bucks each, pretty good seats. Me and my bros are gonna go nuts.




That news about shaq IS huge. If its true, the Celtics actually have a legitimate chance to be in the finals. They match up with Detroit very well and while Detroit should win that series if it happens, I could seriously see Boston taking them down. I honestly only see Detroit and Miami in our way, and I think we could beat Detroit if we play the way we're capable of.

Just busting you man. I understand you have to root for your team. I think the Pistons are gonna win the title every year along with the Bears, Cubs, and the Illini. That being said I think p's are going all the way this year. And this time its legit
