Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread

Trust me Wally, I've complained about Ginobili and other floppers around the league for YEARS, not just this series....maybe not on the board but I've complained for a LONG time. It's even more frustrating to me when they do play my team b/c they get away with it so frequently. Nash travels? Not nearly as much as Parker does. I'm glad they FINALLY called a freakin' travel on his *** down on the block a few minutes before the end of halftime.

I'll say this not as a Suns fan, but as a fan of the NBA and observer of the game....if you think that Amare leans in on his fouls enough to label it as "cheating" as it seems you are.....you are sorely mistaken. His athleticism allows him to jump so high it looks like he's leaning in, but it's definitely not Kobe-like.

Whatever....I'm gonna keep complaining about flopping and traveling as long as it continues to happen. I could be complaining a LOT more, but the fact that seemingly only two of our guys are playing and we're up one at the half, it's quite alright.

Also watch Tim Duncan seemingly do the Waltz whenever he gets the ball at the top of the key...just pay attention to it. I'll be sure to watch Nash more closely to see if he even comes close to traveling.

Quentin Richardson has to turn it around. It seems he has begun to, but he ended the first half with a bunch of missed threes, a bunch of turnovers, and then he started fussing out his own teammates. At that point, as the coach, Quentin would have been not on the bench, but in the stands, trying to sell popcorn.

heres what i said: "You dont see me here whining about Amare JUMPING into opponents trying to get the FOUL! Because it happens, by a lot of players..."

by your definition of me calling out amare as a cheater,,,, you can label EVERYONE in the league as cheaters as well.

I'm just saying it happens on both ends and I respect your loyalty and passion for the game, but you don't see a lot of bickering from those guys (fans of the other 29 nba teams).

Now that duncan has 4 (no complaints) I doubt i'll see you in here again complaining about ginobili... People only see what they want to see, when they have reason to make excuses. But now that the suns are UP and running, i doubt ill see another complaint from you.

thats just the way it goes, most of the time. Winning cures everything

Eh....I'm glad Duncan got 4, but that doesnt mean I'm not gonna complain when calls arent right. Just there, Parker got an offensive foul against Nash. He leaned his shoulder in, but it wasnt that bad at all and Nash exagerrated a bit. Granted, he wasnt FLAILING his arms like everyone else does, but it was a flop nonetheless.

I'll give credit where credit is due. I just dont want people to think us Suns fans are whiners. We're far from, trust me on that. I see the game both ways, not just one, and I'll point out whatever wrongs there are.

Winning stops the crying. So even if the Spurs don't win, I'll still be happy, as I'll see less crying by the OS cry baby.

Nash will need a rest before this game is over. If he doesn't, he'll be even more of a liability on defense than he already is, and you can't let a fresher Tony Parker break you down the whole quarter, it makes the game too easy.

I can understand that. I guess its not portrayed that well on your end when Nash or Richardson attempt to draw a foul. But then again, why would you complain against your own team.

From now on, I'll steer clear of any flopping discussion

Heh, alright bro..I just wanna have a clean series, thats all.

Admiral, that's not fair to call me that. Personal insults ain't cool. Don't stoop that low, let's just keep clear of that and focus on in-game discission!

Boy, sure is getting chippy here. Good effort on both sides though, defensive intensity is ratcheting up.

VERY chippy, but the energy is flowing. I love the intensity. It was weird though that Stoudemire didnt get 2 foul shots and instead we had to take it out. Anyone else agree?

Man, that Amare miss on the double clutch brought back memories of Patrick Ewing in '95 when he missed that finger roll. Gave me nightmares.

San Antonio just owns Phoenix. Period.

The Suns really blew chances to open this game up. But you know what? That's what happened to them against the Spurs all year long. Every Suns/Spurs game I've seen this year had Phoenix in position to blow the Spurs away, only to either let the Spurs hang around to win the game, or they've blown a big 3rd Quarter lead and lose to the Spurs in the 4th.

San Antonio is to Phoenix what New England is to Indianapolis.

It is very telling that the Spurs are owning the Suns in the 4th quarter. It is very hard to all of a sudden turn on the switch for defense in crunch time when it isn't a switch you use often for most of the game.
