Nope. Your response in that thread was aimed at Me and Vince and neither one of us was attackin him. I gave a response that resembled yours in this thread, the reason for me postin your advice.
Exactly,I was just joking when I made the comment about Kobe having sex with his sister cause he seemed to have an axe to grind against Kobe.Didn't mean it as an attack...But me and Kash settled that...

Actually that's cool, but I said what I said, because Kash gave a reason for why he thought Hughes was a better defender, and then you responded with that.

You said you thought manu was elite with no explanation behind it, which is why I posted what I did, to get the reasoning from you.

Doesnt matter, and yes it was overboard hardwood. He's very good, but no hall famer my man. He's no #1 option, and no top 3 guard, even top 5 so lets leave it at that and not try to make an argument out of nothing. Manu us a role player on the SA Spurs team, because he's not considered option #1 or #2, and even comes off the bench. It is what it is. It's not a slight against him, because he's on a top team and plays his role very well.

Its cool vinceanity btw.. I see nothing much wrong with your thinking on manu, as I said, I love his game.

IMO, it wasn't and I'm sorry, thats just how I feel. Ofcourse Manu isn't anywhere near HOF satus, but you don't have to be a hall of famer to be an elite guard. There's plenty of elite players in the NBA right now, that HOF status is still very questionable. He could be a #1 option on a lot of teams right now and in the 4th quarter, the one that matters the most, he has been the #1 option in a lot of SA's playoff games. The guard position is very deep in the NBA, yet as of now, Ginobili is in my top 5 easily. I'm not tryin to argue, rather lettin my opinion be known. If you take that as arguin', more power to you. I agreed with Vince and felt he was right at first.

Im not sure what you consider elite, because from the way it sounds, you might have a watered down definition. what do consider elite?

As the #1 option or the #3?

Larry Hughes? Dirk? Baron Davis, AI? who do you liken him to? Kobe, Tmac, Jason Kidd, KG? Who?

Not far-fetched man...I'm guessing you have it as

                Kobe
                Mac
                Lebron
                Wade
                Gino

I'll just say that I'll take Gino over guys like Melo, PP, Hughes,Arenas(Who I'm a big fan of) and maybe VC.I have him a notch below the guys like K8,Mac,Wade,AI,Bron...

At least we all agree that he's a great player and fun to watch.I honestly think he'd be a great number 1 option for a team cause he's multi faceted and clutch.

to say manu is one of the top players in the league is NOT FACT, but yes, YES, OPINION!!!! So to Kdre and everyone who believes what they want, it's your opinion. There are no facts here.

I personally love Manu's game. He's my 2nd favorite player in the nba right now behind VC...lol. Yeah say what you want, I don't give a crap, it's my favorite tastes, not yours.

I wouldn't say Manu is the best guard, YET. But I believe in him and I believe that he will be there with kobe, tmac, shaq, duncan, kg, iverson. This guy steps up just about every game, and does what is needed. He's not even the #1 option or the best player on his team. He has ALWAYS done something good for the team each year, even in his first year. He helped the spurs dethrone the lakers 2 years ago.

You have to judge it as a long-term trade. I think eventually it will pay off.

Ginobili right now is nothing more than a sidekick playing in a Tim Duncan system.

To call him an elite is completely de-valuing the NBA much more than it already is.

Gino is a borderline all-star (which I have no issue voting him in) and not a superstar, considered a 3rd option on his team at most, and no, not just a notch below the real elites in the league.

No I dont consider Hughes an elite

To compare a 2nd year pro player in Lebron who is far more valuable to his team and the NBA than Manu is just not fruitful.

Give me any of those guys you named before Manu as the #1 option anyday..

Until he leads a team of scrubs to the playoffs as the #1 option and leads the L in scoring, gets top 5 at least in MVP voting, makes the all-nba team,etc... I dont see how you can press the contributions of those guys down.

Opinion or fact, Manu is not Top 5 in the general consus of basketball, let alone a HOF player.

I agree with Shaq especially once they tied the game. Give him the damn ball. Even though he hobbled, they still could not stop him. He was 9-14.

Bottom line.....the only players in the league who are TRULY elite are Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, Garnett, McGrady, A.I. and Kidd. LeBron will quickly be added to this list too.
