Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread

I can see how he ruins the intergrity of the game. It's unwarranted IMO if he were truely a world class athlete, he wouldnt need to resort to that. I'm merely questioning why you feel the way you guys feel because i havent seen a whole lot of the spurs... just enough to know that it happens... i guess it happens almost every play he's a part of

the traveling not being called has been an issue in my book since last season... youre allowed 2 steps.... right??? lol

I respect everyones opinion. I can't really condoone that type of behavior. I was questioning why you guys felt the way you did...

I havent seen a complete nba game since the finals last year. not sure why its that way, but i still love the game of basketball

Are you serious?!?! Quentin Richardson flops? When? Because of the charge that wasnt a charge today? Please. Every Suns fan will tell you that that was a bad call on the refs.

Wally, no problem. I hope I answered your question thoroughly. Its ridiculous the amount of traveling, flopping, and camping in the key that goes on without the refs calling it.

Damn I must sound really bitter. Again I still think the Spurs definetely outplayed us and I agree both teams flop but I just felt like Manu does it excessively and I'm not the only one that feels this way.

Q-Rich doesn't flop and flail on offense and the only times he falls down is when he has position on a fast break. I don't really see a problem with what he does but maybe I'm biased.

Shawn Marion and Q-Rich need to plan on showing up. Marion especially should have taken advantage of however was guarding him. I hope Joe Johnson is able to come back soon, that will really help the team.

Stop crying. Manu is an unorthodox player. He is a scapper and is very sneaky. Like Iverson, he goes hard to the hoop and if the D are stupid enough to consistently foul him then so be it. No need to cry. Team fouls and free throws were almost identical.

Come on Suns fans, you're in a position in the playoffs you haven't been for a while, don't go giving yourselves a reputation after one loss. You can't have it your way every game. Spurs outscored the scorers.

On to game two. Series is far from over.

I'm not crying.....and if I'm crying now, then I've been crying for the past 5 years where my team hasnt even involved in most series.

Even if we won, I still wouldve complained about those BS calls. It's not about the equal number of fouls or FT's or whatever it is......it's about the SPECIFIC calls themselves. No way that some plays were fouls....and no way that some WERENT fouls. It was just pathetic, and has been for years.

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread

Speaking of flops most the big men around the NBA play like they are Spud Webb and flop right and left, look no further then Yao Ming this year against Dallas, that guy tried to take charges right and left and sometimes just fell over trying to draw contact. Although if we are going to call out anyone for flopping I think the two worst ever, in my opinion, are Arvydas Sabonis and Vlade Divac, ironically enough they are both foreign players. Sabonis didnt flop quite as much as Divac but when he did it was just as dramatic as Ginobli and Divac wasnt as dramatic but he did it every chance he got. I think the biggest problem with the NBA isnt the flopping that is going on its the inability for the ref's to call a game down the middle and remain consistant, it helps teams and hurts them but as long as its hurting someone they will complain. For example, in todays game between the Spurs and Suns, Parker was called for an offensive foul and it was a great call, he obviously hooked Nash to get the space to get the shot off and they called it correctly and then not even 15 seconds later at the other end Nash lowers the shoulder into Parker to get the seperation to get his shot off and there is no charge called, and thats what I am getting tired of seeing.

Not really, Refs in the NBA do too many make up calls in IMO. Its like they will miss something are call something wrong and they tried to make up for it later which makes it worst. NBA refs are the most inconsistent of any sport and are star bias as well.
