If you were referring to my post, I didn't want it to sound like I meant all Seattle fans but I did a poor job wording it. Because to be fair, many were trying to cheer Duncan to drown out to boos.

    Anyway...it was a great game/series...

It would be a shame if this Sonics team were dismantled during the offseason..they had a great run and could definetly be back in the mix next year..

It was the perfect example of not necessarily great talent but good chemistry and guys knowing and understanding their roles IMO.

      No doubt.

But name another team that had major injuries to its second leading scorer, its leading rebounder, and its 6th man, one being an All-Star.

Everyone ofcourse is gonna have different circumstances so this is invalid. Fact is, every team has had a setback or more and some team's setbacks are potentially just as damagin as Seattle's and more in some cases.

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread

I feel as if I have to get this off my chest as I kept hearing all series from analysts/commentators that the Spurs have to guard against the three point shot.

The Sonics were a three point shooting team all season, but without Lewis and Radmanovic, they are a subpar three point shooting team. I don't see why the commentators kept on saying that we were a 3FG team because we didn't have anyone besides Allen who would be jacking up threes and making them (Ridnour is pretty good, but he needs a full second to set up his shot).

Seattle is a great 3FG shooting team because Allen, Lewis, and Radmanovic can catch and shoot on a dime AND also can drive and hit pull up jumpers. If they're all on the floor, one of them is going to get an open look because the other can drive/post up and draw a double.

Since the analysts/commentators don't understand the importance of Radman and Lewis, your typical NBA fan probably doesn't know either. Yes, I believe that, if these players were healthy, the Sonics would have played differently. However, the result may not have been any better or worse.

Simple question here. How does Indiana only shoot 7 free throws while Detroit shoots 24? I didnt watch the game and I'm curious.

Indiana didn't go to the hole enough and attack the basket. Against a team like Detroit, that is almost always think Blocked Shot, you have to be aggresive to get to the stripe. They settled for too many jumpshots...they did it all series.

Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread

I'm glad the spurs finally won the series against the sonics. Sonics gave it their all without radmanovic and lewis. Ray Allen played a great series and even Bowen couldn't deny that. I will always say this....MANU IS THE MAN! Flops? cmon, the majority of the nba flops.

I didn't get to see the game, only a few min of it, but I saw the score and some highlights and man I would've been on the edge of my seat trembling with nervousness because ray allen shot a potential game winner with "0.5" sec left and it gave me a flashback to when derek fisher shocked the spurs with "0.4" sec left. But I'm glad this wasn't the case.

It should be good, two of the best in the league. I'm rooting for detroit though.

Is Mike Tirico a phoenix fanboy or what? He was all excited when the game tied up at 111 and dallas missed the final shot, which resulted in overtime. He also mentioned "we" when he talked about phoenix. Ah what the heck, I wanna enjoy this game.

yet he drives past everyone. One would think that quickness, speed, and agility have alittle to do with the term "athletic".

Obvioulsy bill has never had the quickness or speed to do "well" in the league. He's just taking it out on one of the top PG's in the league.
