Re: The OFFICIAL NBA Playoffs Thread

Man.. I'm probably not the only one around here to think this, but it is really sad to see what happened to Sacramento.. The once crisp, controlled, potent offense.. is nothing but memories now. With the trading of Doug Christie and Chris Webber.. those easy hoops, wide open shots and vet leadership is truly missed, ask Peja and Bibby. They no longer have the "defensive stopper" in Christie, the elite passer Divac or that 'go-to guy' in CWebb if the rest struggles, he would take it upon himself. There is no longer any movement in that offense and the 'energy' players they traded for are no longer showing that energy.. and it hurts. I realize Brad Miller is playing on one leg and doesn't have much mobility, but atleast he is giving what he can in his 10-15 minutes of work.

That's right Peja, you are no longer in the shadows of Webber. Showed great signs in Game 1, but absolutely disappeared in game 2 not even making it to double digit points. In fact, the only Bibby made it to double figures on that starting lineup. This is my offical "Hey King starters WHERE ARE YOU post"
    I do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can't

Sacramento had thier chance against the Lakers and blew it when their key players were in their prime. They'll be a lottery team in 2 years if not sooner.

I highly doubt that with the way that team is run. Petrie is a great GM and the Maloofs have money up the wazoo!! I think they'll do what it takes to stay at least a little competitive.

Here are my thoughts on Sac. They still have a team that has a good amount of talent. They just haven't had the time to play with each other yet. Remember, Brad Miller just started playing with everyone in game 1. And BJax had been out for almost the entire year. The players that were traded for CWebb are decent, but didn't play with or get to know the system all that well, especially with all their players there.

I think they will be much better next year. Their core is great. Bibby, Mobley, Peja, Thomas/Skinner, and Miller. They just need time together. They do need a defensive person tho. That's probably the only thing they're missing.

From Chicago and just wanted to say that we're seriously a great team. Oh, the Wizards have a lot of excuses to come up with this time. Guess Jamison has to go back to the drawing board. Whoa to the Heat if the Bulls continue to stay on fired like that. Just want to show that love for my team. I know Heat all the way but it's a chance....

KIRK HINRICH was MURDER TONIGHT he only played 32 minutes and scored 32
( my numbers may be off slightly)

Gilbert was HOT 39pts but he was the only one shooting in the 4th and he shot about 25 times.
