Re: Am I the only one who would take Wade over Lebron?

K, heres my thing. I know Lebron is the better individual player. If they play 1 on 1 LBJ takes 9 outta 10. But as far as if Im starting a franchise, and I can draft any player in the league, Im taking Wade. He's a winner, bottom line, he will do what it takes to make his teamates happy, but yet when it comes down to crunch time, he has the confidence to take the game over. He's shown that his entire career(see his first playoff series against the Hornets, without Shaq may I add).

I said that it isn't a necessity for a player to develop a 3 pt shot as it makes them fall in love with and they stop going to their mid range shot.

How you came up with Lebron, baffles my mind.
Because the guy said that Lebron has a better three point shot and you said what you said. Seeing as how this is a thread about Lebron and Wade and you were responding to a guy who was talking about Lebron, I don't know why you would bring up anyone else. It's not hard to see how I would think you were talking about Lebron.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

He's a winner. Just like Lebron and damn near every other great player in NBA.

Ill disagree with that, at this point in his career I dont think LBJ is a winner. He has won 1 series so far in his first three years. Not a winner yet. Also there are quite a few great players that arent winners, Id say KG was/is a great player, but he sure as hell isnt a winner...

It helps to be a winner when you have the team that Wade has. I think what Lebron did with his team is probably much better than what Wade did if you look at their rosters.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Again, YOU ARE COMPARING THE HEAT TO THE CAVS. You don't seem to quite understand that. In basketball there is more than one player on the court. Now these other people on Wade's team are just slightly better than those on Lebron's team. Even without Shaq Wade had Odom who's better than anyone Lebron's played with.

Wade's first year, he didnt have anyone on his team. They still made it to the second round of the playoffs...

When playing an injured Baron Davis and a team that had almost no one on it. They still almost lost that series and Baron could barely walk.

I beg to differ with you. Right now Wade is the best player on his team, Shaq himself has said it. When Shaq played with Kobe, how many finals mvp's did Kobe get? The key to my argument is defining the leader on your team, then that leader doing whatever he does best to help his team win. Wade has done that after 3 years in the league. He has taken his team to the level of champion, Lebron has not. Lebron is not a winner yet because he hasn't won a ring. You are attempting to cheapen Wade's success, but you cannot. He has earned his place among the champions. Until Lebron shows he can lead a team to the promised land, he does not sit where Wade currently sits...in the seat of a champion, the highest accomplishment any leader of his team can obtain.

Obviously you missed the entire point. Wade has accomplished more with his team than lebron has. Lebron had a chance to defeat the Pistons in a 7th and deciding game but that didn't work out for him. It is not his time to shine...if ever ( I say this hoping that Lebron does get a ring, but until he does there are no gurantees) Wade played against the same team and shined, now some may say he had shaq, well how many points per game did shaq avg against the Pistons? How many pts did Ilguaskas avg against the Pistons? I quite frankly think that the cavs were a good match up against the pistons and could have won that series, so to say that W had a better team is quite misleading, basketball is a game of matchups. At the end of the day because W has infact led his team to a ring I place him above Lebron and Carmelo. Has nothing to do with the opinion that the heat are better than the Cavs.

I would be willing to bet that if the heat would have met the cavs in the eastern conf finals there would have been those that would have said the cavs are better than the heat and would have picked them to win because of Lebron.
