    Re: 2005-2006 knicks thread

These are some tough losses. Good D by Baron at the end. Craw going to the hoop...I can't be mad at that or not calling our final T.O. Malik Rose was a contributor on a championship team...Why is he so bad out there? He hit that baseline shot in San An but can't do it here? The knicks are doing one thing that they needed to do and play better D. But where is the offense? Where is Q? He really needs to be more involved. This team has been competing better with each game, but there is something about that 3rd quarter. One of few bright spots is Channing Frye. This guy is not the soft player that some made him out to be and I really like his game. Curry got no love on the foul calls tonite. Marbury looked inspired from the beginning, which I figured with Peter Vecey's trade rumors from his "sourrce". I really wish that Allan Houston was healthy and did not have to retire. We could really use a pure shooter out there. When Larry Brown said work in progress b4 the season, the man knew what he was talking about. I still do not think that we are as bad as our record. Larry Brown went 0-5 I believe with AI and the sixers two years in a row.

Lastly, Knick fans...We have a long road ahead of us. Keep your heads up!!!

They are obviously not a championship team, but they are also not as bad as they have been playing...

Yea, I'm not too worried. We knew it was going to be a work in progress, and that's what it is. It's not a team that lacks talent. Defensively, for the most part we are playing better. It just needs to get more consistent. Offensively, we do look scared and hesistant. Guys are afraid to shoot at times, and trying to make too many passes, resulting in a lot of turnovers. But they'll get better. I'd rather that than guys just hoisting up 3's all game. They are trying to fit into Brown's style, and I think eventually it will come, and we'll look like a much better team.

Frye brings a smile to my face everytime he steps onto the court.

You can see working with Mark Aguirre is already paying off. Against GS, he begged for the ball in the post, power dribbled towards the baseline, came back and shot a lefty hook. I thought he couldn't play with his back towards the basket!!

And the other player is Ariza. Man, his statline does not reflect what he brings to the floor. He's officially the king of the putback dunk. And he's a good defender. He just picks up stupid ticky tack fouls.

I think Q is still hurting. Man, we need that dead eye shooter in any form or fashion.

Well, we're looking good here in Arco.

Ariza is playing like a beast and Frye has about 19 and 7 right now. We're up by 15 in the 4th.

              Finally a win!

Everyone played good Ariza and Frye the notables with the exception of fouls they were outstanding. Crawford had another solid game and Q is hitting shots now. The defense has been great. It feels good to get a win.

^^it was a sloppy game. Utah had alot of players out with injuries, but I'll take it.

We're actually playing some defense. Curry may have had 5 blocks. Q finally knocking 3s down. Marbury played a controlled game. Stats will show that Crawford had 20 but he's still a bonehead. I cringe when he has the ball.

I haven't seen the Knicks play all year yet, but I'm excited about watching them tonight on ESPN after the Duke game. Who normally starts for NY?

It will be interesting to see if we can stop Kobe, I'm guessing Ariza or Barnes will be on the floor guarding him mostly.

As for the starting lineup it's varied but mostly its been Marbury/Q-Rich/Barnes/Davis/Curry

Barnes has been starting but not getting starting minutes, only about 15 mpg. Tonight I believe Ariza is starting however.
