    Losing the close ones.

Team seems to be jelling a bit better, but they still aren't there, yet.

Another pathetic performance by the Knicks. It's a young team, I can deal with turnovers and deal with losses. But I can't deal with watching uncontested shot after uncontested shot.

Team started to get back in it when Nate Robinson provided a big spark off the bench. Not the first time this year the Knicks have gotten back into a game with Marbury on the bench. But it wasn't enough.

I think Frye needs to be starting every game. Antonio Davis hasn't been bringing anything to the table. James doesn't even look like a decent backup. Curry should be worked back into the starting lineup. Richardson has been pathetic. Crawford should start. You have to deal with some poor shot selection, but he can score. Richardson hasn't posted up like he said he would and he has shot horrible. Nate Robinson will never be a starting point guard, but he needs to be playing regulary off the bench.

The guys who are playing well need to keep playing. We can't keep playing 12 guys every night, especially when half of them aren't bringing anything to the table.

        Re: 2005-2006 knicks thread

I really hate the NY Media.

I just can't agree that Marbury is causing the Knicks to lose.

Marbury said it best. If he shoots too much there's a problem. If he doesn't shoot enough there's a problem. NY doesn't know what it wants. All it wants is a winner. And while I don't have a problem with wanting a winner, it's sickening how the press selects a scape goat and does everything in its power to push him out regardless of how much he means to the team or how much he cares for NY.

Marbury is Brooklyn born and one of the best point guards in the NBA - even in history (Wins don't mean talent). And they make this guy act as if he doesn't want to be here? I'm 100% positive that Marbury loves playing at home. The one thing he doesn't love is losing. Hey, go figure the press and Marbury have a thing in common.

The point of the matter is, even Michael Jordan couldn't make this Knick team good enough to win a championship. They are missing pieces and they are inexperienced.

Marbury is the wrong guy to point fingers at.

I agree with everything you said, Maubury is not to blame here, it's the whole entire organisation fault. I know Brown is one of the best ever, but now I'm starting to think, that maybe Brown wasn't the right choice for the knicks after all, It's not a given you can win everywhere you coach, right?

Knicks played pretty well for most of the game, but collapse down the stretch thanks to missed free throws, turnovers and poor shot selection. Looked similar to most of their games early in the year.

Marbury did play a really good game. His decision making was the best I've seen from him in awhile

The Knicks have been collapsing for years now, I thought Larry Brown could help them make better decisions down the strech, but I guess not.

Marbury had a good game, my problem with him is that he always disappears in the 4th when we need him. Steph was getting into the paint fairly easily all game long, then when the Bucks make a run and the Knicks can't buy a basket he doesn't even try to get into the paint and he lets a Nate do all the work. He finally starting driving again when it's too late and the Knicks are down 7 with under 2 minutes left.

What a game tonight. Knicks beat the Suns in triple overtime.

Free throws continue to be a big problem, but the Knicks were able to overcome it tonight.

that was awesome, one of those games where it was worth watching. Should've went into a 4th OT with a knicks win.

Nice exciting win against a good team, it's hard to complain but they still collapsed late and missed a ton of free throws. Just this time they were able to get a win.

I really hope Larry doesn't stick to benching Ariza for Qyntel Woods. Sure Ariza hasn't played well lately, but Larry claims he wants to use the kids and Ariza is one of them. Plus he is probably one of our best defenders, while Qyntel is one of our worst.

I am still optimistic that we can make a run here, everyone knew it would take Larry time to turn this team around, just nobody thought it would be this bad early. Hopefully we can start to turn it around and get into the playoffs.

a win last night means nothing if they cannot build off of it. A little layoff before they play the Wiz.

I agree. They need to have winning streaks instead of this win one and then lose 5 mentality.

                          Jerome James suspended

Team sources are indicating that the "conduct detrimental to the team" is James' vaccuum like tendency to suck $6 million out of the Knicks for 3.4 PPG and 2.5 RPG.

In related news, Isiah Thomas has been also suspended for "conduct detrimental to the team."

Nice to see the Knicks dominate a game for once. Channing Frye went off tonight with 30 in a row.

Hopefully we can keep it going.

Best win of the year beating a real good team in their place. 4 in a row, make it 5 tommorow against the Mavs.
