Re: ***Basketball Club of Toronto: 2006-2007 thread***

The following is a RealGM article.

Personally I am glad that Colangelo stuck up for his decision. I have been reading and hearing the Toronto "Basketball experts" (and I use that term loosely) critizie the idea of Red T's at the game and it makes me sick.

    Red is our team Color.

No we should not go back to that ugly/gay purple.

And so what if NJ wore red, thats not why we lost.

I mean how often in the NCAA will Wisconsin play Ohio State play and the home fans and the visiting team might wear all red?

I was at a bar during game 1 and I was more upset with the poor quality of play, then to even care that the Nets wore red. Some of these so called sports analyists' in this city need to start doing fashion columns, or just wait till the October for the Leafs again.

BTW SPTO: You were right, 11 mins for Joey and the sereies is 1-1. Nice coincidence.

          Well....that was a thorough beatdown.

If that's J Kidd on a bad knee then I don't want to see him when he's fully healthy! The one positive I can take out of tonight's game was that the Raps didn't roll over and die. They tried like 3 or 4 times to make a run but everytime they got close the Nets would pull off another run of their own. It seems the Raptors dug too deep a hole for themselves.

If we see more of the 2nd half version of the Raptors on sunday then I think they'll pull off a win.

Well this is a big game and hopefully the Raptors find a way to contain Carter or at least keep it close so they can get a chance to win it late.

              LET'S GO RAPTORS!

My theroy is the playoffs are all about adjustments.

Every game it seems that NJ is doing something different that confuses Toronto.

Also the nets look better and better in defending the Raps, and good old coach of the year has not made one successful adjustment. In fact Bosh is getting less and less quality looks.

Someone needs to put a leash on TJ Ford.

                          Crazy theory time:

If the Raptors get blown out at home does this open the door for Colangelo to just let Smitch walk and bring in his own euro coach?

                          ************************************************

Personally I hope the Raps don't just roll over and die. I'd like them to show some life and win the last home game of the year. If they can't win the series (and I dunno I don't think they can) then at least lose in Jersey.

SPTO; I think your theroy is correct. Even if they pull the NJ series out, and get spanked by the Cavs, I don't ( IMO hope not to) see Mitch in the future of the club.

                            Onto a more pressing topic...

Thank GOD, Vince is such a guttless wonder...2 kicks at the can to tie/win the game and both times he gives it up. I could almost see the refs ready to whistle up a foul for Vince in the dying seconds of that game.

Our thoughts are with you Jose, thanks for the great preformance and I hope to see you on Friday.

We really dodged a bullet tonight! I hope to heck that Jose's injury isn't as serious as it looks because I feel we'll really need him for Game 6.
