NOOOO keep having expectations! The BK approach to fandom seems to work!

Seriously that was a great game by the Raptors against the Bulls. I was pissed how the refs booted Mo Pete but thankfully the team manned up and Parker had a whale of a game!

Lol, ok, good point. From here on out, I expect the Raps to not get home court advantage, lose in the first round and, even though it's mathematically impossible, lose the Atlantic to the Nets lol.

You're right, EVERYONE stepped up last night. Great coupl of weeks from Joey, continued great play from guys like Parker, Teej, CB and great role play from Dixon, Calderon, Humphries et al.

I saw something in this game from Mo-Pete that I don't think I've ever seen in a game before-a two foot takeoff dunk. Everytime I see him dunk it's usually in a fastbreak situation and he takes two steps and takes off of one and puts it down with his left. He had some emotion on the dunk yesterday on the pass from TJ, doin a little hop-step and throwing it down like never before.

Just incase anyone was wondering...The best record all time for a raptors team was 47-35. So far this year the Raps are 45 -33, with 4 games to go

        v. Det
        v. NY
        @ Det
        v. Phi

...seems like if we can take Fridays game, the best record in franchise history could be set with this team. What a season.

I have been going back and forth with friends and family, and I still stand firm that this seasons team is not the best team in franchise history, but if they get 48-51 wins, and get into the 2nd round of the playoffs (or further), I think I would have to have eat a slice of humble pie.

What do you guys think? 06-07 Raptors...best team in franchise history?

Yes, They're not the best team in terms of all around talent but they're the deepest team with a core that's young enough and talented enough to be good for a long time to come. In retrospect, those Vince Carter teams were a mirage as Vince was more or less the be all and end all for the team's hopes. Yes there were some great veterans on the squad but they were all on their last legs.

I like how this year's Raptors team has flourished under tough circumstances and has played a great brand of basketball. This Raptors team is going to be good for AT LEAST the next 5 years IMO. Something that you couldn't say for the Raptor teams before because they had a couple young guys and guys who were on their way out of the league.

Toronto matched its franchise record of 47 wins, accomplished in 2000-01. With 2 games to go (@ Det and v. Phi) they should be able to get the record.

            What a great season!!

Smitch was named Coach Of The Year on TNT last night. Ok, I know it's way unofficial but i'm sure there's a lot of people in the league that feel the same way. I truly do hope he gets the official award and that Colangelo gets another Executive Of The Year award as well.

BC should get it. Who else is out there? Chris Mullin, maybe but its not that close.

But Mitch?? hmmmmm Jerry Sloan is right there IMO. Its going to be interesting.

Too bad the Raps couldn't get that 48th win of the season, but Jackson puts up 30 which is kind of funny.

Ok so let all of us chip in a buy Sam Mitchell some playbook lessons.

I have seen this all year, and its going to cost the Raptors this series.

How many timeouts is Toronto going to come out of and look like nothing got accomplished!

Also maybe it was just me, but dose it seem like the only set offense Toronto has is the pick n' roll/pop? I love the Raptors, but watching them play offense is like watching a really tallented rec team play without a coach.

Lets just hope it gets better

Agreed, but still, i stand by the belief that if we go past the 2nd round, Smitch must get his extansion...at least 2 years...

Yeah, at times the offense looks uninspired to some degree but at least the talent level of this team gets past it.

I truly believe the Raps will win the Game 2 especially if we see less of Graham on the court.

Oh don't get me wrong, he's fabolous personel. Hes a great motivator, he plays the matchups well, and (most importantly) the players play for him. That is something that most coaches in the leauge cant claim.

But BC should put a clause in that extention stating: "upon signing this 3 year extention, you must go to a coaching clinic and learn a (1) style of offense." I mean Bosh might have gotten 26ppg if he could get a few more easy shots per game, instead of working so hard to get to the rack.

Love Sammy, but that offense is just so hard on the eyes.

So who would get the brunt of the 3F minutes in game 2?

Mo Pete, Andrea, or Parker with a 3 guard (Ford Calderon Dixon) rotation.

I understand you say we need to see less of Joey, and I also agree Graham was throughly outplayed, but who else do we got?

Lets not forget that Parker got lit up like a christmas tree when guarding RJ, and I for one don't think Mo Pete and Bargani are up to the task.

Oh I understand you as well. I guess that'll be an area for BC to concentrate on in the offseason. I just hope Graham doesn't let Game 1 affect him too much because he's shown flashes this season. He was just thoroughly outclassed.

Ah well, I still believe the Raps will bounce back and win the next game.
