First preseason game was tonight up in Toronto, took an L by a score of 113-111. Anyone who watched the game had to be a little impressed and hopeful for the future. Yeah it's just the preseason but we need any positive thinking we can get.
The team played some very unselfish basketball and really worked well together to find the open man and the best available shot. 29 dimes on 39 FG's, not bad. We couldn't hit a three to save our lives and our defense sucked as usual - and Duhon and Marbury combined for 12 turnovers but overall I liked what I saw.
I'm not going to go crazy and even suggest that this will be a playoff team but at least they should be fun to watch and start restoring some pride to the franchise.

"I didn't know what we would have," D'Antoni said. "I thought they competed and did a lot of things we were trying to do all week (in training camp). I was pleasantly surprised. If we keep playing like that, we'll be OK."
