Leading up to the draft, he was being listed as 6'8 or so. I think the kid might be 6'11. He could be scary if he develops because the little of what we saw in the summer league, he's very versatile as far as dribbling and shooting.

    This could be interesting.
Man I spoke too soon. D'Antoni says Gallinari might be done for the season.

It's funny. I look at the players drafted after Gallinari and wonder who could've actually help us.

I wanted Bayless so bad but seeing how Duhon is playing (floor general), Bayless would've been a bad fit.

DJ Augustin is good, but with our PGs, we don't need him.

The best guy IMO is Javale McGhee of the Wizards and that would've been a helluva reach at 6.

      Face it, we're just cursed.

Yeah, the #6 slot was kinda a no-win situation I guess. We need to keep our fingers crossed with Gallinari, but it seemed like the majority of Knicks' fans wrote off Gallinari the moment we drafted him anyway.

And we are beating the **** out of Memphis tonight.

Gallinari has been hurt. It's unfair to really evaluate him. He was a stud overseas and his Summer League performance was good enough to show promise.

Tonight was a good night for a Knicks fan.

Wilson Chandler- early, early, EARLY candidate for Most Improved Player if he stays consistent.

The guy is simply a Prototype Small Forward.

Don't care what anyone says about the man, but Isaiah can draft his *** off.

Isaiah can and that's the most credit he deserves. You can't take that away from him. He did it in Toronto and did it in NY.

Walsh isn't stupid. There's a reason Thomas is now working in the Scouting Department. It's where he belongs.

As for the game yesterday, how long until Malik Rose just retires and becomes a coach? Actually, how does a 6'8 center with no dribble, no outside shot, no post-up game, and an inability to rebound over bigger men, last so long in the league?

I realize he's a nice guy and everyone likes him, and he plays hard, but lets be honest here. Rose is not talented enough to be in the league for this long.

Why was he taking three pointers last night? What is wrong with him?

Zbo is chucking so why not Rose!? LOL.

I was actually laughing when Rose was putting 'em up from downtown last night.

Rose is still on the team sadly because he's their best post defender. He still has that "tug on their jersey so they travel" trick that works.

Homeboy was measuring those 3s last night. I laughed but was like

I think he'll be a great assistant coach.

Speaking of which, when will Herb Williams get any respect? It's like he's still got a job just because the front office doesn't want to hurt his feelings.

Hey don't laugh at Rose. Dude is pure heart and hustle. Also those shots he took he HAD to take. Remember they want the guy with the ball that is open to put it up whether it bricks or not. Don't let Rose get a few games where they actually start dropping from out there. The defense wont know what to do. "Damn Rose popping 3's WTF are we supposed to do coach?"

Yeah, poor Herb. Every time he had the reigns the squad was wack.

Gallinari scares me. Isn't this like the 2nd or 3rd foreign import with a busted chassis. That other dude had a messed up back too and didn't they have somebody else over seas messed up? I think it's just 2 though.

Didn't think it deserved its own thread.

Danilo out a month, possibly more. It looks like Steph is finally gonna be bought as well.

Damn, reading that article I forgot Marbs was only 31. We talk about him like he's deceased, naturally you start thinking that he's 34, 35, etc.

I can see the Heat picking up Marbury.

Yea, Randolph is taking threes but he can actually hit them. He's a big man with a lot of range from a set position.

Rose does not have that range and even looked like he was struggling to measure the shots correctly. It was funny because the Knicks were running the Grizzlies back to Vancouver, but it won't be funny if the Knicks are in a tight game. I realize coach says take the open shot, but everyone is open at the halfcourt line, does that mean you take that shot? Rose just needs to be smart about this offense. Take your shots, but do it from 15 feet away. At least there he has better than a 10% chance of being succesful.

Rose can stick around if people want to keep paying him but I do hope that he can become an assistant coach for the Knicks in the future. He's the ideal type of guy that people respect and admire.

Herb Williams, on the other hand, was only loved by Knicks fans because he was the old man that never got minutes. So the crowd would always chant his name. It didn't mean that we respected him as a coach-type. It looks obvious to me that both the players and coaches feel the same way. It's about respecting the fan appreciation for his efforts, but old man is never going to be a head coach or respected assistant coach. He needs to go to the studio and do interviews.
