    Re: 2008-2009 New York Knicks

It was frustrating to see them lose last night. Also seeing them blow a 7-point lead isn't exactly something to be happy about, and D'Antoni didn't look pleased, either, during the fourth quarter.

But, I think D'Antoni's expression after the Mavs went up 10 in Overtime said it all to me and it made me really realize that this is ok. I got caught up for a minute there, expecting the Knicks to be flawless, and I forgot that they can't be just yet. D'Antoni woke me up.

When he called timeout in that overtime, he smiled to his players, clapped his hands, and expressed through his posture that it was ok. He understood that the Knicks came to play last night and made a great effort, but alas, D'Antoni knows that right now, the Mavericks are the better team and they weren't going to be a 2-7 team for long.

That was comforting in some ways. Coach knows it's a long road, but games like last night are why people are going to say, "it's ok." Frustrating loss. Yes. But, last year, could anyone even imagine this team being in that position to lose the way they did? It's through these kinds of losses that the Knicks will grow.

D'Antoni sees that. That's what we need in New York.

Totally agree. He also showed some real frustration with them. Especially during 1 time out he took in the last 3 minutes of the game. I've been so stoked about how the team has been playing that I forgot were still a work in progress

          Did he? I didn't notice.

This was another tough game against a better team.

Again, at least the Knicks were in the game for the most part.

They need to keep the energy level at high for an entire 48 minutes.

I was extremely frustrated in the 4th quarter against Dallas, but like you guys have said it's a WIP, and the best thing about all this, the team is watchable this year. Their trying out there. Never gave up tonight against Boston, I know KG wasn't playing but still good effort. BTW, someone get Rose off the team please.

He never came back into the game.

Anyways...alot of smack talking between Zach, Q-Rich, Powe, Pierce, etc.

Q-Rich had the quote of the night:

This team is starting to show some HEART... Now if they could play a little defense look-out.

                  Ha, I like this, though.

The Knicks have been pushed around for too long. Getting in team's faces is going to get them to realize that they aren't going to be pushed around anymore.

Q speaking out is good. Every good team has been criticized of being too talkative. Time to step it up.

Q-Rich runs his mouth a lot, but what exactly has he done in the league? Much as I hate the Celtics, they have the ring, so they can talk all the smack they want. If these pseudo-Knicks don't like it, then do something about it - PLAY SOME ******* DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus......

While it doesn't appear to have been completed, looks like they may be getting Al Harrington:

That crap better be for Rose's expiring. I don't want to hear Jamal's name mentioned again!

Good pickup IMO. Harrington's contract expires right before 2010 and he should flourish in D'Antoni's system.

If this goes through, Eddy Curry has to be a goner.

We're gonna create mucho matchup problems around the league.

My only concern is Harrington's attitude.
