    Re: 2008-2009 New York Knicks

Harrington is a moron. So many dumb players on the Knicks.

It's the same thing year after year. I'm convinced it's no longer the coaching. D'Antoni has to be having nightmares every night. These guys just don't listen. I can't watch them anymore; it's so frustrating watching them perform like idiots. And Harrington is the biggest moron of them all. Has to be the worst 20 PPG player in the league. What a joke.

It's like being dumb just happens when you play in New York. I can't explain it. That idiot hung on the rim AGAIN. He lost a game for the Knicks AGAIN.

Also, what happened to the fast pace approach that they apparently dumped sometime in January? They don't even run anymore. The team is slow and pathetic. They take bad shots all the time, and nothing is ever in transition anymore. What the hell?

The funny thing is... I was expecting this sort of hate to be directed at Hughes.

Hey man, it's like Bill Parcells says, "you are what your record says you are". And right now the Knicks are a bunch of B-list players with a low basketball I.Q. Expect more of the same next season until the big free-agent class comes along.

Hughes is a waste of a shooter. Right now, he's shooting well enough to satisfy the fans. Once he goes real cold, everyone will hate him.

Harrington is the real moron because he puts himself in the spotlight. He expects to be the star and tries to play like the star. And instead he just does dumb things. He's absolutely terrible inside the post or under the basket. He has no plan. He just hopes he can muscle his way in and hit a layup. Then he complains way too much. It's really annoying.

The Knicks still don't have a true inside presence. Lee, as much as I like him, isn't a shooter, and isn't a creator in the post. So, what is he? Just a garbage points player. It's true. He's the closest the Knicks have to an inside player and he scores all of his inside points on garbage.

          Ugh.

Fear not! Eddy Curry, a.k.a., the Blob that Ate New York, is supposed to see action tonight.

              I.CANNOT.STAND.AL.HARRINGTON!

It's like when he came here he was masking himself, pretending like he was a team player to prove all his "doubters" wrong.

Well, he's returned to his old self. Everything that everyone in the league has always thought of him.

For such a garbage player, has anyone EVER taught this bum how to swing the ball when you get it. Because it's in your hands, doesn't mean shoot it.

I know D'Antoni doesn't preach this in practice. He CAN'T be that dumb.

              Scrap the whole team!

More reasons why this team is just so frustrating. They come out to play against New Orleans and can't do the same against weaker teams?

I guess some good news about LeBron potentially coming to NY during his 60 Minute interview last night. He said one of his goals is to become the first billion-dollar athlete. Well, if he really wants that he certainly isn't going to accomplish it playing in Cleveland. New York is the place to be if he wants to achieve that goal.

I disagree. IMO, LeBron can make a billion no matter where he plays. He's LeBron James - he doesn't have to go to Madison Ave.

I seriously doubt LeBron signs with NY. I wouldn't, if I want to win championships. He's on a team that will contend for at least 5 years and that plays DEFENSE. He won't have that luxury on the garbage Knicks, with a coach who wouldn't know defense if it hit him in the face.

So what do you guys want them to do in the draft? I'd love to see Blake Griffin myself.

He'd be a monster in D'Antoni's system but I there's little to no chance we win the lottery. I'm not really a big fan of alot of the guys that mock drafts are projecting the 8th pick to be. I think Steph Curry will be a good pro but not what this team needs right now. I don't know what to think of Tyreke Evans, I would probably want us to take Demar Derozan and he should be there. I don't know if Jonny Flynn would be a reach at 8 either, I'm also not sure how good of a pro he will be.

With the 8th pick in the draft, Stephen Curry is the safe bet. We need a face for our team (Nate, Lee, just aren't going to cut it. They're stars but not superstars). Curry can be a leader for our team, and could flourish in D'Antoni's system - but it all depends on what we do in the offseason.

Rumors are rising that we could go after Steve Nash this season, seeing as how he'll like the play with D'Antoni and is willing to take a pay cut considering the surplus that will be in the 2010 market. If that's that case, we should go big - though I don't like any of the big guys in the draft (Daye, Johnson, Blair, Hansborough, Lawal). We NEED a shooting guard, so I'd like Harden or DeRozan if they fall. But Curry seems to fit.

I'm still pissed after the Knicks drafted that injury prone, spineless, twit in Gallinari. We passed up on Jerryd Bayless (who I wanted), Eric Gordon, and D.J. Augustin.

Injury prone? Well let's see how he does after this season. Spineless twit? Naw man this cat has been hit shot after shot and is definitely not spineless. Infact dude been playing WITH a messed up spine. Give him some credit man. lol. I was hating the pick myself but I see some real upside with this kid. Let's see a full year with him.

My view on Gallinari is biased because I feel the Knicks picked him because of his relationaship with D'Antoni and not because purely because of skill and potential. He is injury prone, I mean he was getting injured in Italy and their season is like 50 games long I think. I won't throw him under the bus just yet, but I'm watching him closely. I link Chandler more than him as a SF.

That would be a typical Knick move.
