Lee doesnt make the team better.
He gets huge Rebounding numbers and its sick how much he shoots now compared to past years.
Anyone remember the D-lee of years past shooting 4 times a game?
    i do.
we won 23 to 32 games each of those years
now he shoots 20 a game!
    lol

thing is, we still have 19 wins.
we can do that with someone else playing his position.
Some players come to a team and their big numbers help them win.

He seems to be stat stuffing.
    I like him, but.
    Just sayin.
Obviously he isn't going to win you games by himself, but the man creates his own offense most of the time and is damn efficient at it. That's an asset that's pretty valuable.

I do agree though that it would have been wise to deal him since we're probably just going to lose him anyway.

You don't go deep in the playoffs without playing that lockdown fourth quarter 'D' that the old Knicks gave us. I want a coach who teaches this and will sit cats down who don't give effort on the defensive end. I'm not looking forward to Phoenix Suns East.

Co-sign....it is this very reason I was so PO'ed when D'Antoni was hired in the first place.

Have to have players who are willing to play defense.

That's why it's gonna be Bosh or Amare. You know who D'Antoni loves but does he wanna win or outscore people.

Gallo's not getting real good looks. He needs to learn to work without the ball to get open, running off of screens and catch and shooting.

I was kinda surprised McGee didn't blast Lee's final shot into the third row. It took David like 4 tries but he finally realized that it's harder for a right hander to block a left handed shot.

I was fully expecting him to blast the shot into the third row. I thought the Knicks' late game heroics were coming through yet again and the play broke down so Lee just tried to drive.

Guess not, it was a designed (ballsy) play for Lee.

It went right out the door along with his confidence once McGrady came aboard.

I think he started slumping a little before that. December was when he was doing the best, and coincidentally so were the Knicks.

                      He's a chucker. I don't believe in him.
He got off to a great start this season but he has been given too much of a green light.

I don't think the Knicks did well in December because of him. I think because they were getting great PG play. Just my opinion though.

It's the coaches job to MAKE them play defense, willing or not. And cut their minutes if they don't.

D'Antoni's style will win a lot of regular season games and get a team to the second round, but that's it.

i sincerely think if coach D wins 35-40 next year, hes done.
                            Lebron or not.

                            Anyways, speaking of LBJ.....

Did he make Steve Nash or Amare play defense?

Trust me...in every 4th quarter of a close Knicks game...I'm sure D'Antoni is screaming at them during timeouts to get a stop, shore up their defense, etc., etc.

You think that carries onto the floor with Harrington, Gallo, etc?

I'm sure it did with Jeffries.

Players have to want to play defense.
