"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Looks like Sergei Rodriguez won't be back next year.
According to Encectando.es, Sergio Rodriguez has made up his mind to return to Spain. Supposedly Rodriguez has reached a two year agreement to play for Real Madrid overseas.[NYK|DAL|VT]

Re: NYK 10: The Crossover
Who do you guys want in the draft? For one, I do believe we'll get a first round pick. I think we'll at least be able to buy our way into the late first round.
DX predicts us to take Darrington Hobson and Lance Stephenson in the second round. They don't take team needs into consideration yet I don't believe and taking two swingmen would be overkill.
NBADraft.net has us taking Tiny Gallon and Jordan Crawford.
I, for one, DO NOT want Tiny Gallon. Sure, he has a cool name but I don't see how he'd fit in D'Antoni's offense. He seems like the type of guy that will be plagued with weight/conditioning problems his entire career. Something we know well.
Jordan Crawford? Yes, please. I remember watching Xavier-Dayton and Crawford make big basket after big basket. Same for in the tourney, he can flat out score the basketball. Plus, who better to couple with LeBron?
Dominique Jones? Yes, please. Combo guard that can flat out score. Better size than Toney Douglas, plays solid D. His stock has skyrocketed over the last month from late 2nd round to late 1st. If we can get into the first round, we might be able to get him.
Terrico White? Yes. Another combo-guard. Seems a bit raw and will need some time, but some of the best physical tools available for a guard. 40 inch vertical, 3.7% body fat, 6'5, 6'9" wingspan, ran the 3/4 sprint in 3.15, .01 slower than John Wall. He can shoot the ball well too, has good form, but can be passive.
I'm not really sure about bigs. I like Trevor Booker's toughness, I feel he could be a very good piece to a championship team like Jason Maxiell.
Jarvis Varnado would be a good defensive big for us.
Craig Brackins would be great for D'Antoni's system, a stretch 4 that can handle the ball a little bit and gets buckets.

Larry Sanders if we can move up in the late 1st round.
Without the cap officially set it's tough to judge, but do we know what type of wiggle room we will have as far as paying a late 1st round pick to go with 2 max's? If we can come away with a late 1st and keep our 2 early 2nd's that would be pretty good to go with Gallo, Chandler, Douglas and Walker.Yankees

Re: NYK 10: The Crossover
We need a big who can defend and there simply won't be any available when we pick, even if we buy our way into the first round.
There were some talks of us buying Memphis' first rounder and packaging it with one or both of our second round picks to try to get into the late-lottery. Not sure it makes sense with this group of prospects. Larry Sanders would be nice to get but I don't want to give up three Top 40 picks to get him.
Varnado will not make it in the NBA. He's so weak and will be a foul-a-minute disaster in the pros. A crappier, smaller version of Thabeet - if that's possible."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: NYK 10: The Crossover
I really want Booker.
We need size but Booker is the type of player that makes my jaw drop. Athletic freak.
No way he's there in the 2nd so they'll have to work to get him.
And if we take Lance Stephenson...I'm just done.Comment

Re: NYK 10: The Crossover
I have a hard time believing Booker is going to be a first rounder. I'd be all for taking him with one of our second rounders.
DX's latest mock has Larry Sanders down to 25 with Memphis' pick. Maybe it's not an impossibility to get him. I have a hard time believing he's going to fall that far though."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: NYK 10: The Crossover
Could be.
All mocks I've seen have had him in the second but anything can happen.
All I know is that I'd love him in a Knicks uni.

He needs more time IMO. Mark Jackson, David Lee, Channing Frye. Time will tell.Comment
