Bench seemed to pick the Knicks up in this one though and seemingly the last few games. I think D needs to find some places on the schedule to give Amare and Felton some rest.

You should have caught the last Q. It started getting ridiculous out there. Knicks thought they were playing 2K11 with all the alley oops and dunks. I was looking for that Mario Bros. sound effect and the ball to catch on fire towards the end or for Portland to pull the plug on the Knicks. lol

Turiaf hit some crazy fade away spin shot. Something I thought had NO chance of going in. LMAO

That 4th Qtr stretch where the Knicks were on a 13-2 run or something was beautiful.

Then after the timeout called by Portland, the Knicks up by 12 or 14, I saw something that made me really like this Knicks team.

Felton picked up a loose ball and started to dribble slowly up the court. STAT, Turiaf and someone else was walking up court behind Felton.

Well, it was like a dupe. Because Camby turned to see Felton walking up court, turned to his left and suddenly, Felton was right next to him. While Camby was turning around to face the other side of the court, Felton decided to dribble hard past the defense. He was pushed to the side and went to the line.

Constantly pushing the ball, finding opportunities. That's good basketball and that kind of offense can usually lead to good defense.

More silence after a big loss.

It was pathetic seeing Randolph on the bench last night next to Stat. Kid looked like he was glazed over.

There was no reason to not play the kid last night. Give him some PT I mean damn.

Back-to-backs are always tough, but a 2-2 west coast trip isn't bad at all.

You can forget about Randolph. If D'Amphony doesn't like you, it's over.

Boy these REFS are taking this "Respect The Game" stuff to an extreme. I hope the players lock out cause Stern is terrible.

I'm not too broken up about it. 4th game on a westcoast road trip, 3rd game in 4 days when Utah was coming off of a 3 day break.

We were also banged up, Toney Douglas hardly played, he has some shoulder injury. And @Pared, AR had flu like symptoms.

Most of the team was in foul trouble it seemed like as well. It sure was good to see Bill Walker and Shawne Williams light it up off the bench though. Billy must be fully aware of Mike D's doghouse and is doing his best to get back in the rotation.

Stupid part of the whole thing is alot of this stuff that's supposed to be "Respect of the Game" has been PART of the game since I was a kid balling. And don't ask how long that was. lol. A little trash talk has been going on since beginning of time. I see it more like "Respect The Massa" than anything else.

DENVER - The Knicks remain very much in the hunt for Carmelo Anthony mostly because New York remains the Denver Nuggets All-Star forward's preferred destination.

A person familiar with the negotiations told the Daily News that talks between the Nuggets and Knicks are ongoing and classified the possibility of a deal with New York at "50-50."

"He'd like to play in New York," said the source, who requested anonymity. "But I don't see anything happening soon."

In order for the Knicks to acquire Anthony, team president Donnie Walsh would have to acquire at least one first-round pick to include in the deal.

The Nets can offer Denver the best package because they have multiple first-round picks.

The dilemma for the Knicks is whether or not to gut their roster for a player they could sign as a free agent after July 1. A deal for Anthony would likely have to include two of these three starters -- Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Landry Fields -- plus Eddy Curry's expiring contract and at least one first-round pick. The Knicks may also have to take on a player with a long-term contract. Al Harrington could be that player.

The Nets are in serious negotiations to complete a deal for Anthony, but the source indicated that no trade is imminent.

As for whether Anthony would sign a three-year, $65 million extension to play for the Nets, the source said "it hasn't gotten to that point yet.

"He's willing to listen to them if he gets close."

Amar'e Stoudemire recently said that he doesn't think the Knicks "need much" to become a contender. In fact, he said on Monday that the team has the pieces to possibly reach the conference finals.

At least one of Stoudemire's former teammates in Phoenix believes that Stoudemire wouldn't be thrilled about adding Anthony while Stoudemire contends that he'd be in favor of adding a superstar.

Anthony was quoted on Monday saying that the Knicks may not want him because they don't want to disrupt their chemistry.

The Knicks are 21-15 heading into Tuesday night's game against the Blazers and are in position to post their first winning season in 10 years.

"Everybody is happy with the team we have and what we're doing," Gallinari said. "We have to control what we can control. We can't worry about what happens on the outside."

I will be amazed if we deal for Melo and give up what the article states. Donnie won't do it and he shouldn't. Save the cap space and pursue other options.

Not worth it. Adding Anthony won't even make them a Top Tier team in the East especially if it means gutting the team.

Now, they wait till the off-season and let Chandler walk and then add Anthony using the money from Chandler and Curry and then we're talking a team that could match up with the Top teams in the East.

Put Carmelo in place of Fields and Chandler at the 2.

Man that would be awesome. Imagine adding a decent Center to that lineup and i'll be ecstatic.
