Eh, Jordan has Jackson destroyed as far as athleticism goes I think. But Jackson seems to have a high basketball IQ. He made a lot of good passes out of the post this year for Syracuse and what he lacks in size and athleticism, he makes up for with good footwork and good timing. Granted he played in a zone at Syracuse, which allowed him to play in the paint for any time in the game that Baye Moussa Keita and Fab Melo weren't in the game, but still, the technique in his game is pretty good in my eyes.

Don't worry, you'll get used to it. I've had 38 years of it, brother.

What do y'all think of these Steve Nash rumors?

I don't know about those rumors. Does Phoenix take Billups?

I'm not convinced there will be a single star in this draft. I see a bunch of role players.

I'd take Vucevic or Faried, but it is a shallow field.

Re: The 2011 New York Knicks: The Rebirth

            This is my wishlist...
1.) Kemba Walker - No way he's on the board but I guess it's possible for him to slip and us to trade up a couple spots to get him. DX has him falling to #12. NBADraft.net has him going 15. I read yesterday we had a deal in place with Indiana for #15 if need be (rumors..***mors...).

2.) Tristan Thompson - We'd have to trade up to get him, but if we're trading up, I rather him than anyone else (besides Kemba). Good size, good athleticism, great competitor, I think he has good potential and can end up being a solid contributor.

3.) Alec Burks - Watched him a little bit at Colorado. Not a good jumpshooter but has great size and length and athleticism. Also has good handles and can create his own shot.

4.) Marshon Brooks - Pretty much interchangeable with Burks, but a better shooter/scorer overall, however he's 3 years older.

5.) Klay Thompson - I don't really care too much for him regardless of what everybody's saying, but at 17 I wouldn't mind him.

6.) Iman Shumpert - If we're looking to improve defensively, I'd rather start in the backcourt because I'm convinced there's a little bit more depth in this position in the draft. 6'6 PG, athletic, great defender, but can't shoot. He'd be an asset off the bench with Toney Douglas.

7.) Josh Selby - Seems a bit redundant to take him when we have Toney Douglas, though he's heaps more athletic. He'll be a combo guard forever likely and unable to run the PG position effectively.

8.) Kenneth Faried - Don't like his size. Like everything else about him, though. Well, he can't score too well either but we wouldn't need him to.

9.) Bismack Biyombo - In my mind, his stock dropped mainly due to all the off the court issues currently surrounding him and his offensive ineptitude. After reading an article with him compared to a shorter version of Hasheem Thabeet, I remembered why I hate the idea of taking a defensive specialist high in the draft. At 17, he may be a good pick though, but I wouldn't trade up to get him.

10.) A Morris brother - Low ceiling players to me, but would be good enough to be a rotation player. Good size, both can step out and shoot a little bit. Haven't read too much on them, don't care for them too too much.

61.) Jimmer Fredette - This is pretty much the one guy I do not want. I don't care if he can shoot from half court, I swear if he takes those shots in games I will move bricks for bowels. I will be very upset if we trade up just to get him. He's no Steph Curry. I'm not convinced in his ability to play PG, I think he's not quick enough and he'll naturally look for his shot too much. Plus he doesn't play a lick of defense.

Some second rounders I wouldn't mind
-Josh Selby if he's still available.
-Jeremy Tyler: Big, fairly athletic, but raw. Would be a project.
-JaJuan Johnson: Needs to eat a little bit more, but surprisingly strong and athletic for his frame. I think he'll surprise some people. He's definitely a competitor.

Amare's the one who started this rumor. I think it's idiotic and I'm glad the Suns ownership squashed it.

Keep Nash and his types far away from NY.

Re: The 2011 New York Knicks: The Rebirth

There are a few final-mocks that have Kemba falling to us at 17.

I'm so damn pumped for tonight, still hoping we buy another pick later in the draft.

No thanks on Rick Jackson, for the most part he's thin and plays below the rim. Decent help defender but I don't think he'll be a rotational NBA player. Just don't think he's gifted enough.

You could just tell that everyone in the building wanted to talk about how stupid this organization is.

Their explanation is incredibly stupid as well. "He plays defense."

Uh, so do Singleton and Faried. And guess what, they are big and can rebound.

This organization is purposely screwing with its fans.

I have a feeling we just drafted the guard version of Renaldo Balkman.

SMH @ passing on Singleton there.

I don't claim to follow college basketball, but if this pick was for defense, I thought they would've gone with Singleton no question. He's already been labeled an elite defender, and we draft a guy who wouldn't have been looked at in the first round by any other team, passing up the rebounding monster Faried in the process? So many options with the pick, lots of guys we didn't expect to fall that far actually fell, and we draft a second rounder? I'm just so confused right now. Anyone know anything about Shumpert?

Hahn tweeted that Donnie fell in love with Iman when he shut down Jimmer one-on-one in workouts. So he shutdown a guy who has big question marks over his head about if he can score in the NBA? Not sure that warrants such a big reach.

I like Shumpert but he's obviously a huge reach at #17. He could turn out well, I really don't think there's that much of a bigger risk in him as opposed to Singleton but I would feel much better at this point in time with Singleton on our roster.

There wasn't a single pick thus far questioned or laughed at besides ours.

Whatever, at least the team realizes we need to improve our defense. We didn't take a shooter or one-way offensive threat.

Well, the last "elite defender" we drafted out of FSU hasn't come close to living up to his billing defensively IMO.
