So who's the starting PG in 2012?

If Chris Paul is an option, you definitely don't want to add salary in an attempt to lure him to NY. The only people who know if this is a reality is CP3/STAT & MELO.

What happens on draft night may tip the Knicks hand on the CP3 Situation. If we draft or trade for a PG that says something about CP3 to the Knicks in 2012

Who do you want in the draft?

I like Kenneth Faried. I wish he was taller, but he makes up for some height with his 7' wing span. Averaged 14 rpg. 4 years of college behind him, maybe he can make an impact right away on the boards/defense.

Plus, he might have the best motor in the draft (despite suffering from asthma I believe).

I was able to watch the first day of the draft combine in Chicago and one of the last drills was the wind sprints, and Faried was just gunning while most players just dog it.

He's got that Rodman motor.

His offense sucks. He could barely hit any 12 footers. But no one expects that of him.

I am sure setting myself up for disappointment tomorrow night.

I expect my beloved franchise to fail me again.

I'm not necessarily a Knicks fan, but if I'm the Knicks, I'm looking at a guy like Chris Singleton if he's available, or Burks/Thompson/Brooks should one of them still be available at 17. I think the Knicks could also be served pretty well if they got a late 2nd round pick (wouldn't be hard) and took a guy like Rick Jackson, who can bring rebounding and shot blocking to the team, as well as solid touch around the rim.

Apparently Walsh is about 99.9% set on buying a late 1st or early 2nd round pick. Hopefully we can grab Darius Morris or Josh Selby with if we do acquire a second pick.

I'm still way up in the air on who we take with the 17th. Doesn't sound like any of the projected guys we want will still be there (Thompson, Brooks, Singleton, etc).

Hahn said it's not out of the realm of possibility for us to trade out of the pick, long term that isn't a bad idea since 2012's draft will be stronger (if we swap pick-for-pick) and it gives us another asset if we try to acquire a CP3 type guy at the deadline in Feb.

I'm telling you guys. He's projected as a mid-late 2nd round pick and he can rebound and block shots at a high rate and from watching every single Syracuse game this year, the guy literally has no post moves offensively, but he just finds ways to put the ball in the basket. He's got a pretty nice touch despite no moves. I think he's a good guy to draft for any team that needs a defensive space-eater.

And at the same time, you can get him late in the draft and instead of using #17 on Faried, you can pick up a defensive wingman or a shooting guard.

I'd have no problem if the Knicks took a bunch of really big men that play defense, rebound and block shots.

Sure they need a point guard, but can't they worry about that after they solve their biggest issues? Getting the ball to Anthony or Stoudemire isn't that difficult of a challenge. All 6'0 of me with no college basketball experience can do that.

So what do you guys think will happen? If Kemba falls to us at 17 you have to take him right? Or do you still think we should go after a rebounder? Unless we can grab Kemba and get a second rounder to get Jackson? I guess that would be a best case scenario

Yea, he doesn't fall that far. No way. There's a sucker born every minute and a team out there will take him, no shooting ability whatsoever, just because he's a big name.
