A major kick in the balls for sure. And on top of it, we may never see Smart in C’s uniform again.

I am with you on the bold above. I think Smart will be gone after this season. He will sign with another team because we're not going to pay him what he wants & deserves. I think we're going to make a run at Kawhi Leonard myself come the off-season.

Just imagine us with Kyrie, Hayward, & Kawhi as 3 star players to go with Tatum, Brown, Horford, Rozier, & the rest of the bunch. We would then be SERIOUS contenders. I would hate to see Smart go but it's probably going to happen. He will be a RFA after this season: http://www.spotrac.com/nba/boston-ce...s-smart-15358/

any Kawhi trade probably includes Tatum and Brown and most likely Tatum. I dunno if Smart is for sure gone because whose going to for sure paid a bunch for the worst 3 Point Shooter in the history of the league. He'll get a solid deal I'm just not sure an outlandish one which might bring him back to boston though one reason why he couldn't be back is they probably have to make a decision to pay him or Rozier. Rozier is not up this offseason but i think he is next offseason.

It is a bummer we are not going to see what this team would of been like the team w/Smart came back with the Bench was looking really good. I wished that team would've been healthy this postseason.

Shaq on TNT last night said he had Insider information that the Celtics are going to go after Kawhi hard. He also said that in doing so it would only involve 1 current player on the Celtics roster plus the rest the Spurs was asking for draft picks in return.

That one player on the current roster my guess would be Tatum. It could be Brown but Tatum has a bigger upside. It could also be Rozier since Parker is about finished & word is the Spurs don't trust Murray as their long term PG mainly because he's not much of a shooter but he can work on that just like many other PG's have done in the past to become better players.

I still think it would be Tatum since it's Kawhi's position to fill. I would hate to see Tatum go. Kawhi is good but man Tatum could end up just like Kawhi in being a superstar & Tatum is much younger too. Thanks.

Yeah you gotta be darn sure about Kawhi's health to do that kind of a deal. I know it's not rational but I'd keep this group together and see what Heyward/Kyrie/Brown/Tatum can do. because with the development of Brown and Tatum in year 2 next year's team won't have the offensive decencies this one had.

Danny Ainge's summer of deals resulted in a blockbuster overhaul of Boston's roster. Little did he know -- through some of his lesser-known moves -- he'd also be setting up a safety net for the injury-riddled Celtics.

Let's take Game #2 tonight guys & head to Milwaukee with a safety net on our backs.

Celtics guard Terry Rozier downplayed any bad blood with Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe and suggested that referring to him as "Drew" was an accident.

Boston's second-year swingman was once so broken up about basketball that he became physically ill. Now he's breaking out on the NBA's biggest stage.

I'm not one to question the coaching of Brad Stevens much at all. However, why was the last play called for Morris when we had Brown, Tatum, Horford, & Rozier doing the scoring in the 4th quarter? Morris should have been the last option but the play was for him because the ball was thrown to him in the post.

Wrong call in my opinion because one of those other 4 guys should have been the 1st option. Oh well. Going back home 2-2 & I just knew this series was going to be back & forth. I expect it to go 7 games & hopefully home court advantage we can use it to our advantage to win the series. GO CELTICS!

The Celtics' dynamic rookie/sophomore duo is altering Boston's playoff road map with performances rivaling early-OKC Durant and Westbrook.

Big win last night guys. Horford stepped up when we needed him most because Brown & Tatum had off nights. It was also big to get Smart back. He made numerous big plays in his 1st game back in a while.

I still think this series is going 7 games. It's just two so evenly matched teams but with Smart now back I think we now have the slight advantage. Who knows though. With having Smart back going back to Milwaukee he might be the difference we need to actually take this series in game #6.

I sure hope so. I don't want a game #7 because I've already felt like I was having several heart attacks in these games. LOL! If it does go 7 games I think home court for us will prevail. GO CELTICS!

Al Horford & Terry Rozier stepped up for us bigtime last night especially with Brown going out with the hamstring injury. I don't know how bad the hamstring injury is for Brown but if he misses the series vs the 76ers then we're going to have an incredible task on our hands in beating the 76ers. We already had too many injured players but the next man seems to always step up for us.

However, the 76ers are a different beast. They have weapons all over the court. We have nobody that can even slightly guard/stop Ben Simmons & Embiid you can say the same. I assume Hordord will be guarding Embiid. I have no clue who we would play on Simmons unless it would be Tatum & Smart combination. I would put Rozier on Redick.

We have a monumental task on our hands in the next round though. If we had everybody healthy then we would be at least equal if not better than the 76ers but they have been playing lights out & they have tons of talent.

I say if Brown can play in this series it will go 7 games. If Brown isn't able to play then the 76ers just might beat us in 6 games. I like our chances though if we can force a game 7 back at home where we're just a different team. GO CELTICS!

GO CELTICS!
                                THIS GUY:

I think he will continue starting and being first on Simmons but then it's just going to be the next man up with Smart, Morris, Tatum and Brown (if he plays) all getting their cracks at him.

I don't think that Simmons is as good as Giannis (outside of his passing) but the team around him is much, much better, especially the shooters and obviously the big guy. Although, Middleton was a tough matchup for Boston's guards so at least they don't have to deal with him anymore. I'm still super upset that the C's didn't go after Belinelli. In my opinion, getting him and İlyasova was the turning point for them and they were the best mid-season pickups of any of the playoff teams (with Mirotić right there too).

We're going to need all hands on deck for this one. Horford really needs to shoot the bad 15-20 times. Both him and Tatum need to be more aggressive. Terry needs to keep playing well and we need the late season Marcus Morris back. Of course, the "wild card" Marcus Smart is going to make some plays on D but he needs to be a little less turnover prone too. It would be nice if Greg Monroe could do something every now and then as well. But mostly these long cold streaks with the offense have to be fewer and further between. That's the key, in my opinion.

My heart wants to say C's in 7 but my head is telling my Philly in 5 or 6. Philly is just so deep that it's going to be tough for this injury ridden squad to beat them four times.... Hopefully, I'm wrong.
