I don't think Jackson will leave any time soon. He's making so much money and from the sound of it he's not exactly doing the strenuous/tedious aspects of the job. Everything I've read is that he's just the final decision maker but Mills & Co plus the scouts are still doing all the work.

So far all the hate Phil got for the JR/Shump trade (and I'm still salty we didn't get a 1st out of it) they were forced into the same role in the Finals that they had here in NY and they stunk.
Shot a combined 29% and that was boosted by JR's late barrage last night. Shump played good defense throughout the series. JR was a mess. The ***** in me feels slightly vindicated."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Yea I wasn't rooting against them but I am glad the narrative that the Knicks caused all their problems, or that Lebron "changed" them has been put to bed. Both guys are exactly the same players we watched here. JR still a streaky low IQ player, and Shump is still a good defensive player who hasn't improved at all since coming into the league, and is one of the worst players at finishing at the rim I've ever seen.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

I was rooting against JR & Shumpert and have no problem admitting it.
They are who we thought they were.
Knock the Triangle all you want, but JR can't play in any organized system unless it's Rucker-type street ball.Comment

Meh, never been a fan. Not exactly the ideal Triangle PG but beggers can't be choosers.
He'd be the best backup PG we've had in ages though. Def don't want him as our starter. Had enough of PGs who shoot 40% from the floor and aren't great passers."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

I'm guessing he'd be like a JR Smith replacement. Not really a guy you want to use in your traditional PG role, but for bench scoring.[NYK|DAL|VT]

^ It seems like we're already screwed by landing outside of the Top 3. I still have no idea who we'll take at #4 but I do believe there's a strong chance we'll trade down and try to take WCS and pick up another asset.
I'm not going to have too strong of reaction when our pick is announced on Thursday because of this, think there's a good chance that whoever we pick will be moved before the night is over."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: The 2015 New York Knicks: Year 1 of Life "After" Dolan
Such a Knick thing to land the #4 pick when there's a pretty clear cut top 3.
Then we get a bunch of rumors about Russell or Okafor dropping to us, which of course won't happen, just to ensure we feel disappointed on draft night.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
