          There is no curse.

It's the smartest man in the room complex.

You tank to take a guy who won't be ready for 2-3 years?

          That's not cursed.

Many of them believed in Darko and The Chairman too.

This kid is gonna surprise people. If Sam Presti made the kid a promise last year if he has stayed in the draft, I trust Clarence Gaines also see's something in him to talk Phil into taking him @ 4.

I know it's not the sexy pick y'all, but it's the chance you take when you don't have the #1

It's not the chance you take when you signed a 30+ year old to a super max deal and tanked the year.

I get that, but this is the 1st step in the process. We still have FA and the draft isn't even done yet

Yea I'm cool with it. Only disappointed that Okafor didn't fall once the Lakers passed on him.

If nothing else, it shows Phil is taking a long term approach, not some quick fix.

And I can't believe we landed a mid first rounder for Hardaway. Love that move.

That trade is seriously the best move our front office has made in like 15 years. I can't remember the last time I felt like we fleeced a team in a trade.
