I say keep the pick and stay the course. This is like right before the pre-Melo trade team was blown up. Assembling a lot of young talent.

If there's a trade, it probably doesn't happen till the summer once the Knicks can see what free agents they land.

I'm happy with either course. It's either RJ / Morant or it's AD. Both scenarios lead to promising futures though one guarantees a better return sooner than the other.

Re: The 2019 New York Knicks: Feel the Fiz

With the way the current NBA playoffs (Bucks and Raptors are prime examples of having depth around 1 star) have been and how likely it is that teams are going to be losing players (i.e Durant from the Warriors), I would love to see the Knicks build their depth around KI and KD with the potential to add a third star for less than what the Pelicans would want for AD at the trade deadline if needed (perhaps Beal if Barrett doesn't suit)

        PG: Irving
        SG: Barrett
        SF: Durant
        PF: F/A(Ring chaser perhaps)
        C: Jordan

        Bench:
        Dotson
        Knox
        DSJ
        Ntilikina
        Robinson
        Kornet
+ Potential cheap ring chasing veterans.
        Football: Manchester United
        MLB: Cleveland Indians
        NBA: Miami Heat
        NFL: Cleveland Browns

Berman saying on a podcast Perry and Mills are damn near sneaking around and haven't spoken to the media since the lottery... Speculating the reason is they don't want to build up RJ as a Knick and then have him get traded for AD.

I don't know where this notion came from that FOs are required to speak to the media at this point in the season. Are they supposed to give a public report after every meeting with a prospect?

With the KP trade, we learned that Perry runs a tight-lipped operation. The fans and media don't need to hear any inside information about our scouting process. Berman is just pissed he can't get anything good.

I do hope Perry has already called NO and has gauged their interest in Barrett to see if there's any hope for us.

And the thing is I don't think there's a single fan pissed they haven't spoken, but Berman and company try to act like it's some outrage for the fans that they haven't addressed the media

I am perfectly ok with the FO running a tight ship. If they can keep the KP trade under the radar, I’m sure they’re working on all options right now.

Is our front office....turning things around?

As long as the Front Office makes good decisions or promising ones, I don't care how they operate, really.

I think it's hilarious the media is upset the Knicks are focused on improving the team instead of talking to the media.

If I worked for the Knicks, I would avoid the media too. All they want to do is tear the team down.

The face when reports start coming out that Gayle Benson will only trade AD to the Lakers over her dead body but you've been hearing all week that Zion ended up in the ideal ownership situation:

IMO, the Knicks deserve all the crap they get....20 years of s*** basketball, a s*** owner, no title since I was in 7th grade, dumb front office moves....when will it stop? The Warriors were a joke for a long time too, but even they figured it out.

It amazes me we have so many dysfunctional franchises in a city like NY (and I'm including my beloved football Giants).

Right there's enough real stuff to criticize them for, so there's no need for the media to make up fake criticisms too like they do

Bondy and Begley head to head, Bondy saying Frank demanded a trade (LMAO) and Begley saying his agent says that never happened. A part of me respects the gusto with which Bondy is taking to being the T-1000 version of Isola.
