To quote the immortal Micheal Ray Richardson, "the ship be sinking!". Seems like that's happened a lot in Knicks history. smdh.....

Trade Randle. Ship him off for a bum. I don’t care.

Reality says Thibs will push to get rid of Obi. Might even get rid of IQ.

I think I need to write a thank you letter to Comcast for dropping MSG Network.

That was one of the things I was wondering. Rose will be coming back too which will take minutes away from our other guards. Thibs benched Kemba just to get minutes for Rose, Quickley, Burks, and Grimes. Trying to fit Reddish in on the wing with RJ and Fournier is going to make the rotation pretty competitive.

I think/hope Thibs will be a good coach for Reddish because for Reddish simply won't play if he does the things that got him traded in the first place, like take bad shots and play lazy defense. However, I'm starting to wonder if he's more Andrew Wiggins or Kelly Oubre than Paul George given his flaws.

I imagine we'll be active around the deadline and ideally it's with Randle. I don't know what happened to him. He went from writing in the Player's Tribune about how seeing his son imitate his on-court behavior scared him to acting like a moody teenager.

Otherwise, been impressed with Mitchell Robinson and RJ. Offense looks so much better with RJ initiating it than Randle, and even with moody Randle being passive. Mitch has been looking much more coordinated now and is finishing with more than just dunks which is nice to see. He just needs to make some FTs.

Which is why I was so puzzled we gave up a 1st rounder regardless if it’s a middle of the round pick.

Blow an 11 point lead to OKC, who were without their top two scorers. Tre Mann drops 30. Giddey has a monster triple-double. Both rookies have the best game of their careers. This season has gone comically bad, even by our standards.

Will Thibs be our coach on opening night next year? I assume Leon Rose has a longer leash and will be allowed to make poor decisions for another two years but a major change will be in order if we finish ten games under .500.

Maybe this will be the year we finally get lucky in the lottery and move up from 10th to 1st!

Someone posted on our Reddit sub asking something like if this is our worst season in recent memory and I had 2 thoughts: pain in remembering how bad we’ve been forever, and happiness that the person asking is either 5 years old or new here and not as broken down as the rest of us.

I don’t even want to watch the games anymore, I don’t know what we’re working towards, we’re just in no man’s land again. Basketball sucks and I need the MLB lockout ended as soon as possible.

Watching Tre Mann do to us exactly what he did at UF and in pre-draft workouts made me sick.

Thibs hasn’t earned to right to be the HC next year. He coaches like it’s 1994.

The team is capable of winning many of these games if they weren’t dead tired in the 4th. I don’t care anymore. I check the highlights after games and that’s all the energy I give to them.

Decades of ignoring the PG position and this is what happens. I was against the Reddish trade because I felt the pick was more valuable. I would’ve traded both picks to move up and snag the best PG in the draft.

                        But what do I know.

From a certain point of view, it is the worst/most painful season in a while. It's very similar to 2013-14: the previous year we had our first good season in ages and immediately crashed back down to earth.

We're a treadmill team with marginal assets. Barrett is the only thing worth a damn in this entire org. I wouldn't extend Mitch. IQ is the exact same player he was last year (or even regressed), Grimes is a JAG but fine, Toppin has shown some improvements but I'm still not a believer and as long as he has stretches where he plays 8-12 MPG (thanks, Thibs) he isn't going to turn into anything worthwhile.

There is nothing to look forward to with this team. It's another few years of hopelessness.

I wonder how often a team has gone from a Top 4 seed to not even making the playoffs the next season without a major roster overhaul or key injuries. We've done it twice in the last decade!

So many folks wanted Mann. Dude is what the FO thinks Quickley is. Mann can actually finish in the paint and do some things in the PnR.
