FWIW I enjoyed the Rocky games but hope they look at using the right stick. Hopefully they've advanced the fighting system since.

If you only own a ps3 then it won't matter if you buy it or not, if you have the 360 and a ps3 I don't see why the game not coming out on the ps3 would influence your decision. And if they were getting like EA then the game would be out on every console imaginable.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Im pretty excited for this, ive wanted a realistic boxing game for so long, fight nights fun but it is no where near a simulation. Hopefully it's got a good open career mode. 2K mentioning a story kinda makes me scared, hopefully open ended.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Bucks | Milwaukee BrewersComment

I'm not against having real fighters, but I don't care if they're not in there. A deep career mode is what I want - complete with realistic training, diet, etc.Comment

The story should be a good thing. They want your career mode to have some kind of meaning behind it. I dont see any negative in this. I am also sure you can just play player1 vs. Cpu or player vs player.Comment

But if its a linear story, they may not have rankings, etc. You may not be able to determine how you climb the rankings. The real boxers could be "Bosses". There are alot of things that scare me about a "story" mode.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

IMO, even if its very linear its not going to be a bad thing.Comment

Re: 2k's boxing game set to be announced tonight...
The toughest thing with boxing games is to get the atmosphere down. Fight Night didn't last for me because, aside from differences in the size of crowds, the fights didn't "feel" different. I think this game has the potential to bridge that gap and display the passion and excitement that we all attribute with boxing. Hell, I remember watching one of the cockiest boxers athletes I've seen in Prince Naseem Hamed and loving everything from his walk to the ring to his mannerisms.
Customized entrance music would be tight too. I think this game has a ridiculous amount of potential. I hated Fight Night so part of my hope might be just because I'm desparate. I can't wait to see screens.
