So its OK for Joe to stay in the UK and fight average competition because he sells out fights in the UK and make alot of money but people dog Floyd because he took a money fight with De La Hoya? More hipocracy.

Would you at any point in Roy Jones career have put him on the Top 2 or 3 PFP list (question goes to Complex and BigEast too)? If so what ELITE fighters has he beaten????????

Spoken by the guy who put Wlad #3 on his list.

Yes....Roy has wins over Toney and Hopkins when they were young and in their prime(two HOF). Thats one more than Joe imo.

what does it tell you guys that joe is in the pfp discussion and hopkins is not?

I'll add that in hopkins prime, he lost to RJJ and beat ...?? 2001 beat tito out of his weight class.

to me pfp is about who is the best boxer in the game period. Not necessarily who you beat, but that obviously help. The kind of guy that could dominate at other close weightclasses. The ability to dish out a punch, the ability to take a punch, footwork skill, defense, combination skill, punch accuracy.

It would really make me happy for someone to test floyd's chin

Toney definitely but Hopkins at that time? NO-A late bloomer,he is a better fighter today then he was then and at the time was in no way considered elite .Two year after the Roy Jones fight he won his IBF title off of a guy that knocked him down twice and fought to a draw forcing another fight between the two for the IBF title which he won by TKO. This stiff would eventually lose 8 of his last 9 fights by KO and retire. Like Calzage, Hopkins was a virtual unknown for several years, until his breakout victory against Trinidad. You would eliminate Calzage from a top PFP consideration based on that splitting hairs argument? Guys like Winky Wright and Jermain Taylor have been on such lists during their career. Why not Calzage. And back to Roy Jones-how many times has this guy been questioned for his lack of quality opponents yet was always considered a top PFP fighter? Ring Magazine currently ranks him #3 PFP.
