Re: Button mashing gone from Fight Night Round 4!!
I play with the stick but there will be a huuuugeee uproar if buttons are eliminated altogether from many gamers . More options equals better, I don't know why this decision was made frankly...if trueComment

Re: Button mashing gone from Fight Night Round 4!!
An argument can be made that stick users had an intuitive advantage over button gamers, more fluidly going to the haymaker and parrying which required the stick to pull off. On the other hand I fought many an online opponent that unabashedly said their primary strategy was "parry and button mash".Comment

Don't take away options for the user ever
I'll admit I never took the time to learn to fight with the stick with 3 and never really gave the system a chance.
However they better be spot on with the stick controls. If I move it one direction it better damm perform the appropriate action without any lag, glitches, or what have youHere We Go Steelers!!! Here We Go!!!

Re: Button mashing gone from Fight Night Round 4!!
I'm probably around your Dad's age but I don't think the reflexes have all that much to do with it. There were gamers that decided to go the stick route and some went the button route. I chose buttons because I wasn't overly impressed with the advertised "intuitiveness of stick punching". I just hope the stick punching is improved. One advantage to stick punching in #4 was that they were more powerful then the button punches. However slight, the cumulative effect of the heavier punches in the later rounds came into play.Comment

Horrible news. Im not a button masher, I just hate getting my thumb cramped due to throwing unresponsive hooks on an analog stick. Maybe the punching motion is configured to how you move the stick to give us a lot more variety, but still dont take the buttons away.Comment

this is great news, a friend and I used to use the sticks exclusively w/o haymakering. Made for much more realistic matches.Comment

Man this game is starting to slip off the "definitely going to buy" list. The 360, in my opinion, is not that responsive.... Let me scratch that, MY experience with games that require you to use the sticks in this manner has been bad. I find the PS3's sticks to be better but I had planned to get this game for the 360.
I'll definitely be waiting for the demo on this one now to see if this is something I want to deal with. I'm very lenient with games but one thing I'm not forgiving on is the control scheme. This wasn't a wise move as far as I'm concerned. What harm would it be to leave buttons in?
This is the one thing I kept quiet on. I figure if I didn't type it I wouldn't jinx it. So much for that. lolComment
