well it wont suffer much since i didnt use the parry system often if at all.....i was more of a lean and move guy

and i could tell because of the animation of the punches not as fluid as a button user, and the continued usage of half powered haymakers......

If they're taking away the ability to use buttons, what will the face buttons be used for?

Also, I hope they got rid of the "signature" special punch. Every fighter should just have their own strengths and weakness, and a style ala 2k basketball.

ea are so stupid...all they had to do was make a online ranking area for STICK USERS ONLY and a online ranking area for button users only...that would've elminated everybodies complain about either side...u could just fight ranked matches in which area ya wanted and wouldnt have to worry about fighting against somebody using something u werent using.

I'm truly digusted..i HATE analog punching..and its not about being hard or anything cuz im actually good..i just dont like the feel and it shouldnt take even that amount of slight thought do know u want to throw a simple jab hook combo...

Whats Freaking Sim about making punches harder to throw?????????

The Sim stuff should come into play with Physics and Stats of your fighter you've built up in Training...and having proper punching animations for Great Fighters compared to Bums with low stats

the reason is because everyone can throw 6 punches per second with the buttons. the stick forces you to be more careful with ur punches.

When was the last time you seen a super fast 4 hook combo in real life?

Then the Designers need to penalize the people who try that with other methods..I.E appropriate punch animations(weaker punches) and Rapid Fatigue.

The way you describe it, it makes it seem like TPC is a "Band Aid" to a broken aspect of the game. I want to believe the rest of the sweet science has been enhanced considerably since R3....If so then people throwing with Buttons shouldn't matter if they tuned the game right.

If not maybe we shouldn't be so excited about the game because the Devs are still looking for ways to cover up a lacking area in their game with another "Band Aid"

Fighters Know their repatoir of punches before they get in the ring. You should be worrying about your opponents punches more then your own.

there was a flaw with the buttons in framerate....the buttons are a simple contact engine that only that is very limited. WHERE in the hell are all you casual FN players comin from anyway. WE boxing fans have pushed & pushed for many years to get the glitched buttons gone and now were getting that...

look at the physics of the game so far, there's no way on green earth that buttons would allow for such connections.

babies can press a button.....we dont need no more children in the FN games.

yeah the designers probly went with the best solution ever in a EA game by taking out button control. Thats another thing i loved about prizefighter, we all had a even ground in control. ......

plus i think we can get rid of the younger crowd and keep this game more adult....leave the arcade fans with facebreaker and fun games like that..

also by getting rid of the buttons completely, this will get all that "IF HES A BUTTON MASHER OR NOT" crap out of the way......in framerate the buttons always had a faster animation...it was a glitch that couldent be helped....just take it out and we wont have these kiddy wars of botton mashers.....now were all one big happy family mate....

                        agreed??

not at all. It is extremely frustrating when your trying to throw a certain punch but due to the stick you end up not throwing anything or the wrong punch. Analog is not revolutionary its just annoying. Just look at the show compared to 2k. You dont need to reinvent the wheel, just perfect it. The only way I'll be happy is if the stick is extremely contact sensitive and somehow allows us to do things the buttons would not like keep an extended arm out by holding the stick up.

you know what, why are we even having this disagreement. The change in control for FN4 has CHANGEEDDDDDDDDdddddd in all ways..both button & STICK people will have to learn the controls all over again....

again, it disgust me that people are coming into this BRAND NEW GAME still thinking about FN3 and their old button habbits. Dont you people understand that FN3 was a horrible game to us real boxing freaks....we needed a complete change from EA.

I dont know man, I've actually never had a problem throwing the type of punches that I wanted to throw with the analog control. Its actually very precision if you know what you're doing with it.

Im gonna have to agree. Im sure im not gonna just pick it up and master it right away. But just like a boxer in the gym, you gotta work on it.
