I guess I can use buttons or sticks, doesn't matter to much. I prefer the analog though. Man, I cant wait for this one. I was trash online with RND3 because of the parry and the lean and stay in one position folks always did. I can see myself destroying any and all comers in Rnd4, you all better get ready! THA PEEPLZ is my tag and I'm crunch nasty on all a yall.

I can't say much about the controls, but I will say that it was a better scheme than R3. I've never been a big button basher in the Fight Night series, but I was very impressed with the new configuration. I'm ready for the hazing, but I think buttons have no place in boxing games. Although I'm not opposed of having options, I think everyone should be on the same field, especially when playing online...

Well here it comes!!! lol. Statements like this don't make sense. So back in the days when they only had one stick controllers do you mean that they should have never made a boxing game for those systems?

When I want to throw a jab there should be no confusion if I really wanted a jab or a hook. Buttons guarantee that. Sticks do not.

Im with ya on this, They better be spot on with their controls. It shouldn't be a chore to throw 1-2...or 3 punch combo any way you want.

That Demo has gained more importance for me as well

Yeah, I used buttons and NEVER button mashed. I wasn't that good, but rode to about a 90-40 ranked record (not great by any means) using power fighters, and the regular block. Stick punching seemed unintuitive and hampering.

this is great news. the only ones angry are those not skilled enough to use the sticks. good riddance to button mashers.

I know you're not directly addressing me, but I will adjust if need be and I'm not angry. Once again, in #4 wasn't it possible to stick mash straights and jabs, having the advantage of more powerful punches???
PS-I don't think there is any great skill needed for the sticks.

I have absolutely no problems if they take out button mashing. If they felt they had to do it so one player doesnt have an advantage over the other, then by all means, do it. While, the button mashers are going to be upset, they wont have an advantage anymore.

As long as its the same for everyone, i am fine with it.

Wepeeler mentioned that there the controls are different from last year.
I was a fan of using buttons, but I like the controls for FNRd4 much better than Rd3.

Wait until all the info gets released. Those that are ticked might change their minds.

not everyone who liked the button configuration is a button masher. I used the sticks myself but I know many others who liked but did not abuse the button set up.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

I agree. Just because you used buttons doesn't make you a button masher. And there are plenty of 'stick mashers' out there too.
