Isn't the AI dead by round 6 on these. I was using similar sliders, but with stamina at 5 and they AI was dying. I was also getting too many early knockdowns and little damage. I'm on the 360, and from what I have been reading the PS3 is better.

But with these settings, I would be shocked if you ever got a decision.

Post some stats from your fights, hopefully you can find the magic bullet, good luck.

I think it's because of the amount of power punches the CPU throws...

My fights have been using a southpaw WW CAB, 5'11" 77" reach. I created him just for testing. Jabs are 20, straight is 20 (just to see if 1pko was on GOAT), rear uppercut and lead hook are 15 and everything else 11 (critical stun). All of the defensive categories and combos are 20. Here are the results of several fights, all were 12 round fights.

CAB vs. De La Hoya - CAB wins, KO 10th. Dominated with reach. CAB was stunned twice, I stunned him four times and knocked him down twice over the course of the fight. Connect rate was 35 for me and 32 for him.

CAB vs. Hearns I - Hearns UD 12. Hearns stunned me 4 times, knocked me down twice. He connected for 42% because I was got aggressive in 7th, knowing he probably had a 6-0 lead on the cards. He kept me at the end of his jab and mixed in straights and jabs to the body occasionally.

CAB vs. Hears II - Hearns KO in 5. Uncharacteristically of my style I came out aggressive for the opening bell. After the first round I had cut his right eye. He caught me in the second leaning on what was to be a lunging body jab rear uppercut combo. Before I could get the uppercut started he flashed me, and it went downhill form there. He would catch me leaning in the third, stunning me, and in one of the most beautiful moments of boxing I have seen on this game I was loading up on a power shot to the head in the 5th. He went 1-2 while I was open. He was waiting on it almost. The jab stopped my progress and the straight followed, stunning me. He finished me off in the corner and that was all she wrote.

Note: Hearns was throwing at most 40-50 punches a round on average with the output at 0. He wasn't burning any stamina at all. I upped it to one after fight two and he threw 50-70 a round, depending. After that I saw better stamina depletion.

CAB vs. Hearns III - CAB by KO in 3. I figured him out, and countered his lunging jabs to the head and body. I went back to counterpunching, staying on the outside, making him come to me instead of stalking him. Everytime he'd come in lunging I'd pop him with a straight. After his 3rd knockdown it was over, two of which were flash KD's.

Before raising output to one the CPU would have 85% stamina at tend of fight. After I raised it to one it was better, 50-65%.

I noticed on GOAT short term health regens slower than on Champ or Pro. I really like that. I also like the fact you really have to be careful on GOAT, they are a little more conservative about going for it but they can stun you if you leave yourself open.

As far as damage I cut De La Hoya and Hearns. MY CAB had 99 cuts/swelling and at the end of the 1st fight with Hearns I had 50% swelling from eating all the jabs. It was probably an anomaly, but it was nice to see.

I am looking forward to checking these out in legacy. Best fights ever for me.

On a side note, I am saving my files to a flash drive and reformatting my PS3 to see if that help on the freezing. I heard that helps. I read another guy say his issue on the freezing and framerate hiccups were solved when he deleted his user profile and created another. I am just scared of losing my OWC fighters, so I am not deleting my roster, just removing it to a flash drive and starting over to see what would happen.

I also read deleting it from the XBox HDD and reloading helps as well, for all you 360 guys.

Yea i might go to GOAT also because my last few fights i've been dominating the cpu and seemed to have found my rhythm on Champion. Just a couple of days ago i couldn't beat Lennox Lewis to save my life. Now in my last few fight i finally beat him with Holyfield and picked him apart with a Riddick Bowe CAB i downloaded in two straight fights. Hopefully GOAT is just more challenging than cheesy.

Just thought about it, any particular reason why ref foul awareness is a 10? The CPU never even fights me foul.

i just made the switch to GOAT a few days ago using acts' sliders and i have seen cuts/blood in literally EVERY fight since. i'm only doing play now fights, but have been using a mixture of CAB's and licensed boxers.
i have seen no swelling at all, which is odd with all the cuts i've seen, but i am not going to complain. on champion diff level, i saw absolutely no cuts since the patch. strange coincidence or is there something to it?

on a side note: when fighting against tyson he throws those big overhand rights which nearlt take your head off if they land. but whenever i use tyson, i can't get him to throw those. is there something i'm missing?

i'm still seeing the cuts almost every fight now. i figured out the powerful overhand of tyson's- you have to be positioned properly. he won't throw it if you're in too close range. he must be a few steps back to trigger it with the hook.
i don't know what the rest of you guys are experiencing right now, but i couldn't be happier with this game. my sliders/diff level/CAB's/etc... are really working well for me. i am not experiencing any freeze-ups and the punch-not-landing/registering problem is not very prominent on my system. sure, i'd like to see some things tweaked/fixed but for the most part, it's providing me LOADS of fun- which is all i can ask for in a video game.

Do what I did if you want damage an d 1 punch ko's back.

I brought back everything they advertised.

*I deleted the cache from my harddrive
*I deleted the DLC from the harddrive
*I disconnected my ether net cord
*Fired up the game and played it all night in its original form, no patch or tuners

Really enjoyed seeing damage and having 1 punch knock outs back. I was having a great match Pacman vs Augustus, going into the 5th I was controlling the fight with nice combinations stepping in and out. Then I swear he timed me coming in and POW lights out, LOVED IT, I got cocky I paid.

Not sure. I haven't had a 360 in a couple years.

So far I am enjoying the game on my last slider set. I created a CAB and turned him into somewhat of a Tyson clone. All uppercuts and hooks were 20's, and his speed and strength were maxed. I had to be really careful at all times as any flush shot could put me down. Several times when I was against the ropes he'd catch me and stun me. Quickly I'd push him off and try to get away. Sometimes I could, sometimes I couldn't. Great fight, beat him by KO - he lunged forward as I backstepped, followed by a counter power straight. After he got up I went in for the kill before his health regen'd, I finished him off, 6th round.

At times I'll see some 40-50% connect rates, but most are 25-35%, which is realistic. You really have to fight your fight if you want to win.

On the 360 you will get cuts if you have power at 8+ and Damage at 10. Problem is, alot of fights don't last very long because of the power and thats with toughness at 10.

If you have power at default, at most you see a little redness like hayfever or allergies around the eyes.

This. I took the power back down to 7, but just not quite happy with the damage being done. And I don't want to delete my cache, because I like the patch/tuner besides the damage.
