Yes, you will lose the downloadable content, but when they patch in 1 punch ko and damage again you can redownload it anytime.

You will not be able to save, because to play it in its original there is no save, because your not signed in to any profile. I know it sounds like a hassle, but it's worth it for me to play a good boxing game.

I have version 1.01...is this the latest patch??? I have ps3 so the PSN is shutdown of course, so don't know if I'm up to date or not!

A couple questions since I just finally rented this....

Are the sliders broken on PS3 as well or was it a 360-only issue? Was it patched?

Is the game better pre-patch or post-patch?

Is stamina messed up pre and post patch?

That's the patch BEFORE all hell broke loose w/ PSN & the hack job.

No...only the Xboxers have the latest patch. If you want the best of FNC, delete the 1.01 patch.For me, the game BEFORE the patches & tuners is the best...only the counter window is an exception to the 1.01 patch.Before the 1.01, you got 1p KOs...I'll bet in my last 50 fights, I've seen 35 DIFFERENT scenarios of KOs, or flash knockdowns.

I have a PS3 and I've been searching the threads for concrete answers to the same questions. I finally have some money and want to purchase this if there's some combination of the above (fix sliders, keep/delete patch, etc..) that can be done to make it a SIM boxing experience offline. I enjoyed the limited demo, and had high hopes for the retail version. i play 90% offline exhibitions...not really into online or story, career mode. also, are the judges scores still totally bogus, like the demo? thanks.

@acts238shaun: i think you have the ps3 version, correct? would you say it's more sim than not sim? i broke down and bought it, but haven't opened it yet for fear of immediate depreciation of the product.

Take it back! With all the random freezes, console killing freezes mind you, that can't be fixed until the mid-June patch I'd wait til then. I had a choice between this and MLB 11 the Show. I love this game when it works right, but I made the wrong choice. It plays a great sim fight minus the accuracy still being a bit high, but I'd rather I'd waited til it worked well.

So what are we saying about the combination of patch/tuners to produce the best/most realistic gameplay? No patch and tuner 2? And I am assuming you must reinstall the patch to get the prompt for tuner 2 and then re-delete it if that is the way you are going.

I've thought about this and it is possible. I don't know if you will be prompted to DL the patch as soon as you sign into the PSN. I think if it can be done you D/C from the Ethernet/router and only sign in to get the tuners. The other way is to just delete update 1.01 I think.

Here's how things went for me. When I first logged back in to the PSN, I did not not have the patch installed. I was prompted to install the patch from the minute I was signed into PSN. I refused as usual, which meant it backed out of the sign in to PSN. No sign in, no tuners. So I had to reinstall the patch to log in to be allowed to get the tuners installed. Then I went back out after the tuner install and deleted 1.01. I don't know how to verifiy if the tuners are in use. They don't seem to leave a file footprint like the patch does.

I think it is too early to tell what sliders work and in what combinations since PS3 users just got access to the tuner and I don't think we've actually gotten a big enough sample of fights to say what the best combo is. That said, if those numbers came from someone who is using a post-tuner II XBOX version of FNC, they are probably pretty good...if you're playing on XBOX. Whether or not the sliders work and to what degree seems to be a question that varies from console to console.
