what is not true? I've tried at 10 and it and I swear I almost can't see the punches , IMO it doesn't look real.

Anyway I'm done with the patch, I just uninstalled it as it clearly punishes real boxing and encourages spam fests and the fight usually becomes a rock em sock em robots fight

So using these sliders do the CAB's cut and swell? Im pretty sure I havent downloaded the latest patch and I play only offline vs the computer. I really enjoy everthing about the game except that the CAB's dont bleed/swell. Im trying to decide to leave it alone or download the patch. thx

        He was MUCH harder, actually.
I'm trying to figure out the same thing, that just happened to me using his sliders. So random. I've been playing on GOAT with AI sliders (Off/Def @ 10) maxed out and using every combination I can think of to give the AI an advantage but shy of 1 punch KO's (Which I haven't been the victim of in about a hundred fights) it's impossible for me to lose.

So I ask the Fight Night board, what are your suggestions for an actual challenge from the computer? I enjoy playing online when I'm playing with someone that won't quit, when I re-bought the game I played about 10 ranked matches and won all 10, the 6 that finished were inside of 5 rounds, and the other 4 quit after I knocked them down once.

My "strategy" definitely isn't cheesing. I just use whatever boxer's strength I pick, and I pick a lot of different boxers and weight classes. I'd just really like some challenging sliders. At this point in time I'm pondering editing the entire roster if it were found that doing so would make it a challenge, or deleting the patch because I'm pretty sure the initial launch was a much more challenging game. The thing that ruined it was the "perfect block" freeze.

        Help!

Good mix of stopages, descisions and KOs with these. Fights actually go the distance.
I tried these and no offense but I didn't think they seemed very real. It didn't matter who, or what kind of fighter I fought, they just threw punch after punch and didn't get tired. Had several rounds where the computer threw 100 punches

...Well, I'm using the "Authentic Brutality" tuner update with the patch (never downloaded the newest tunder). So if you have the updated tuner, that may be why.

Was there a new tuner issued recently? I was prompted to download 2 days ago. It appears that there are some improvements as evident in Cpu v cpu

I doubt it. I don't even think that the developers are working on the game anymore.

Hey Davone how did these work out for you on FN4.

Just went back to this game last night and I am addicted again doing fight now classic championship fights from Lightweight, middleweight, light heavy weights and heavyweights. I play on Champion level already.

                    Thanks for your feedback.

I can't even remember the exact slider set that I was using, but I remember downloading the highest rated file from Boxer Share. It was pretty good.

Still fine tuning a bit, but this is what I've been using for sim style fights.

                            Level-GOAT
                            Round length-2 Minutes
                            Rounds-10, 12, or 15
                            Saved by the Bell-Your preference
                            3 Knockdown Rule-Your preference

                            Foul Awareness-10
                            Damage Awareness-10
                            Power-6
                            Speed-5
                            Physical Damage-0
                            Toughness-0
                            Accuracy-0
                            Stamina-8
                            Counter Punch Window-10
                            CPU Offensive Awareness-5
                            CPU Defensive Awareness-10
                            CPU Punch Output-0

I've since edited these a few times. Certain fighters like Muhammad Ali are giving me fits. You almost have to give them they're own individual settings.

Worse fight I ever had was when I matched up Ali and Lennox Lewis with these settings. All they did was sit back and jab each other. Neither fighter got tired or hurt.

That's probably how a real fight between the two would turn out, so I think how to book fights is as important as anything when it comes to sliders, because I've had plenty of other fights under these settings like Eddie Chambers versus Jack Dempsey which were very entertaining to watch. Chambers got knocked down in the first round and the two basically went back and forth for who won rounds the rest of the fight. Both guys were exahusted by round 9 (which is why I have stamina so high) but both had to keep winning rounds, so they were on the offense the whole fight. Eventually Chambers took control of the fight in round 10 and won the fight via unanimous decision but it was very close for most of the fight.

This is by far the best and most realistic boxing game I've ever played. Only real drawback I can see is that the CPU throws way too many punches and connects way too often even with punch output and accuracy turned down to zero. Turning down stamina doesn't effect it at all, so you might as well keep it at max and take it out of the equation entirely. Guys still get tired but if you put it down to zero, it just makes speed fighters nearly unbeatable. You just can't give enough of an edge to power fighters without also making it impossible for it to last any longer then 4 rounds.

I may tweak the damage and stamina settings a little bit but I'm pretty satisfied with what I have for everything else. Toughest thing for me is getting the balance between toughness, power and cuts. Its a very fine line between nobody ever getting hurt and no fight lasting past round 4.

I dl'd the game on my ps3 last night from PSN and already had all the dlc...minus bareknuckles and the legendary heavyweights which I plan on getting both. I see that it keeps telling me on the main menu about a new tuner being available and I have no clue if the patch is already installed since I got it off PSN...should I dl the new tuner it says is available? Anything else I should do to get best experience possible? Thanks guys appreciate any info that can be made available to me.

P.S.- yes i had the disc based game before but was in a position where I had to sell it. Thx again!

Anyone that still floats around the Boxing forum be willing to give some input?
Just picked up the game (FNC) and was curious about what the must haves with this game are?

Is the game a lot better with certain patches or all of them, or none of them?

Also what would you guys most slider set be? I'd consider myself a pretty good fighter. I'm just noticing that when I fight Legacy even amateurs are pressing me like they're Tyson or something. Also the jab for some of these fighters are doing absurd amounts of damage.

                                Any info is appreciated,
                                Thanks
