I would love to see that but he's a Haymon fighter so that wont likely happen anytime soon. I would love if some Haymon fighters got some balls and demanded to fight fighters who arent represented by Haymon but that wont happen.

Hey Jay, I didn't realise that Charlo called Canelo. What weight is Charlo fighting at? He looks big in there

junior-middle- I think he called Canelo "Cinnamon".

Paulie Malignaggi said that Charlo would beat "Cinnamon".

Paulie is nuts. Charlo looked good last week. But beating Canelo requires skills at a higher level.

Yeah, Charlo has to prove it to me but it would be a fight I'd like to see.

I know one thing. It would be a high action fight. Barely any defense and charlo comes off as someone that never likes his opponent so that would definitely make it entertaining

Yeah, Kirkland comes to mind, although a lot of his action came from his bouncing head -By the way, he fights Cotto in February after another long absence. Unless it's surrounded by the best undercard in boxing history I'll stay away (PPV).

I agree. Did they definitely say that is a ppv?

Definitely. Cotto has one fight left on his contract with RocNation, and it mandates the fight must be on PPV.

Ridiculous. No way I'm buying this crap.

Cotto is the Mariah Carey of boxing. A faded diva clinging to vapors of past glory.

And I thought that last pacman ppv was bad. This is definitely ridiculous. Would be great for hbo, showtime,or pbc

Yeah, and it may be dwindling but he still has enough of a following to pull in a good size paycheck. The Roach factor was more of an illusion then about making him a better fighter.

                              Re: Boxing Off-Topic

Latest report from the Ring says Canelo and Chavez Jr. are negotiating for a PPV fight in the spring. The hypocrisy is ridiculous.

First, Canelo is becoming as big of a diva as Cotto. He insists on GGG dropping to a catchweight of 155 but is more than happy to fight Chavez at 160? Well, no wonder: Chavez barely can make 168, let alone 160.

So it's pretty certain this fight will take place at some BS catchweight, like 164. And I'm sure the WBC will bless its favorite pet, Canelo, by putting some ridiculous Cubic Zirconia belt up for grabs in this fight.

The catchweight leads me to my second point. Oscar just recently said Golden Boy won't do catchweights. Uh-huh, sure.

There is no way in HELL I'm paying to see this fight. It's a complete joke. Canelo is doing everything he can to duck Golovkin, and the promoters are complicit in the ruse that only continues to screw boxing fans.

I think he was talking specifically about Canelo's move to 160 starting in 2017, and possibly ALL title bouts.

“Canelo and the team have decided for 2017, he will move up to middleweight, full-fledged middleweight, and fight the middleweight champions of the world, and that’s including Triple G at 160,” said De La Hoya . That’s it. No catchweights here at Golden Boy Promotions. I guarantee it, and I will put my promotional license on the line. You have my word, and Canelo is not afraid of Triple G. In September, I hope he signs the contract, and it will happen.”

Bob Foster didn't ask Ali and Frasier to fight him at 190 and Hearns didn't ask Hagler to go down to 156. That's the problem I have with the catchweights when the lighter fighter makes demands for the heavier one to "drain himself a little", but if it's an agreed upon non title fight that's something I can at least tolerate.
