not easily, but he does....he's better skilled than fury and in better shape. too long of a layoff (again) for wlad and it's time to pass the torch in the heavyweight division. i really think joshua vs. wilder can be a good ppv with the right timing and promotion. that is, assuming both stay undefeated.

Molina is up and down and came in overweight in a fight in which he would have been outclassed if he was in supreme shape. He went to war with Matthysse and then Broner put him in his pocket.

I don't know if Jacobs is PBC-protected, but his schedule has been light with the exception of Quillin and Pirog, who destroyed him in a second. Considering Danny was also hurt by marshmallow punching Sergio Mora in their first fight, I'm not sure how long he can last against GGG.

with pirog out of the picture due to injury, this seems like the best possible fight for him since he can't get a rematch. his heart and ability to take a punch will be seriously tested against ggg....

            PBC-protected is redundant, dude.

talks of canelo vs. chavez jr. on cinco de mayo....seems like a good fight, however, looks like a catchweight at 165 is in the works. chavez jr. has had trouble making weight in his recent fights and while his record is a lofty 50-2, he has never beaten anyone notable and hasn't been active much the last couple of years. i'm not sure this is the best tuneup for a ggg showdown, but it is what it is.

Yeah, mentioned a few days ago-De La Hoya is characterizing it as a "salivating" fight for Mexicans. Clearly that audience would be the only thing that could drive PPV numbers.

It's a terrible fight. Chavez has lived off nothing but his name and strong chin. He has very little skill compared to Canelo.

Chavez won't get knocked down or out because of his size advantage and tungsten jaw. But the fight will be stopped in the middle to late rounds due to cumulative punishment absorbed by the hapless Chavez.

You know your career is a joke when the most notable part of it came when HBO cameras caught you walking around in your underwear and eating cereal for breakfast at 6 p.m. when you were supposed to be training. That's Chavez. He's a joke, the premier member of the Lucky Sperm Club of boxing.

Yeah, but in addition to the name I think he has some inherited talent that is stymied by his work habits and weed.

He has Daddy's chin. That's it.

Junior really tests the concept of a father's unconditional love. It must be painful for JC Superstar to see Junior's appalling work habits.

i think you're right, that will be the outcome....and this fight should have happened years ago. poor training habits, poor management and inactivity have been an ongoing problem. canelo is at his peak and chavez clearly is not. i just find it funny that there is no problem with canelo going up in weight to fight chavez but clearly balked at going up to fight ggg so soon.
