Meanwhile a good little doubleheader March 7th.

Keith Thurman vs. Robert Guerrero & Adrien Broner vs John Molina Jr

Yeah, Thurman will demolish Guerrero, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

ESPN story just popped up. Some things mentioned:

      (1) HBO and Showtime have agreed to a joint PPV broadcast.
      (2) Pac has agreed to drug testing via the United States Anti-Doping Agency, which has randomly tested Mayweather and his opponents for years.
      (3) Both sides have already drafted contracts.
      (4) Even the gloves have been agreed upon. Eight ounces, with the fighters picking their brand.

There seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel regarding this fight coming to fruition, no matter the non monetary motives of Pacquiao and Arum.

I think he's just setting it up to throw all the blame on Floyd when/if this fight doesn't happen.
If Arum isn't telling the truth, it's going to hurt his ability to throw all the blame on Floyd. Not to mention his credibility.

I see that. There is some significance to his opinion.

Exactly. If Arum is going public, it means something is going wrong with the deal. I dont think he is sabotaging it though. He has no reason to do that because Pac has no one left to fight. No one is going to pay for a Pac/Crawford fight at this time and no one is interested in another Marquez fight.

I think its Floyd. Oscar just tweeted that Floyd is trying to get Cotto to rematch him and sabotage the Canelo fight.

I saw a very vague promo a few weeks ago and I knew Haymon was involved. Will this be on the regular NBC channel?

Yes. 5 of them will be on national NBC and on primetime.

Good, I know there are 5 on NBC, but their sports channel was starving for content. Not sure about their commentary team though. Haven't that I can recall listened to either of call a fight outside of listenting to Sugar Ray during "The Contender".

Sugar Ray worked for HBO for awhile. I remember him alongside Lampley and Merchant for the Buster Douglas-Tyson upset.

Yeah, I was a wee lad (lol) of 8 years old in February of 1990. Remember the fight couldn't tell you a think about the announcers.

Sugar Ray is decent enough as a color commentator. He isnt one of the top guys but he wont embarrass himself.

Looking forward to this heavyweight matchup tomorrow, first time i've said that in a loooong time(plus i don't really like watching heavyweights as much in general, they're not as explosive and quick as the lower classes). I'm honestly not sure who to pick, seems like a 50/50 fight. Wilder has power and athleticism obviously, but stivern has better technique, a solid chin, and has been in with some decent guys. Plus he has some power too. I doubt this fight goes the distance, i'm pulling for wilder tho.

Also, I love the fights between guerrero and thurman, broner and monlina, and garcia and peterson, those are all great fights and it's a good thing for boxing. I'll say, if thurman walks through guerrero or knocks him out, i'll be pretty impressed. Feel like people are forgetting guerrero isn't a bum,and he's pretty crafty and rugged. He can box and brawl, it'll be a good fight.

Yeah, Thurman-Guerrero might be competitive for awhile. I'm surprised that Broner took a fight with Molina. He's a tough guy who can hit and many of us saw how he stacked up with Matthysse.
