You could be right Red, but I just saw a very choppy video of Guerrero's war with Kamegai (fight of the year candidate), and I don't know. He's a tough dude with a great chin, and I wouldn't bet my life savings that Thurman could KO him. Keith can bang........I'm really starting to look forward to this one.
He's a tough dude with a chin, but he shouldn't have been in a war with Kamegai. He should have dominated him. Not to mention after he hit the lottery with the Floyd fight he has been inactive (that fight being his only one in a year and a half). I think this fight is set up for Thurman to dominate and then possibly fight Floyd/Pac.

Alvarado did the sport a huge disservice last night. In your home town to show up for a check. I would be pissed if I paid for that junk.

Alvarado should be ashamed of himself and extremely embarrassed....showing up unprepared and getting booed in your hometown! SMH

I'll be impressed if thurman dominates or ko's guerrero, he's no bum. He shouldn't of been in a war, but i honestly think he chose to brawl more that time, because he's shown he can box some too in the lighter weights. Although, i think it would make more sense if keith fought amir khan or kell brook next(ideally after they fought each other, he would get the winner) and then the winner fights winner of floyd/pac. In a perfect world of course.

Disappointing to hear that a Frosh-Chavez,Jr bout won't happen because of an elbow injury to Frosh.

Saw the video of Mayweather & Pac-man at the Miami heat game. They may fight....but I've got to admit, the more I think about it, the more Pissed I get!

Those two should have fought when they were in their Prime & it should have been a trilogy like Ali Vs. Frazier. I think those two could have propelled the sport of boxing so much further.

This is why boxing has slipped among the casual fans....too much ducking and dodging outside the ring!

                    That looked so incredibly awkward.

PBF clearly showing out because people were watching. And Manny looking like he was ready to throw a punch if necessary.

I think it's a joke at this point but clearly the biggest PPV event ever.

PBF looked absolutely terrible vs Maidana 2. Ran for the whole fight.
And I'm convinced Manny wants this so badly just for the huge payday.

I've lost so much interest in this fight.

They're going to have to drum up (stage) something epic to draw people in like having PBF spit at Jinky or something.

Not at all. This is the fight casual fans have been wanting for the better part of the last IDK 8+ years. If they agree to terms this is just a license to print money. Even hardcore fans who disparage the fact that they are both on the downward slope will eventually be all in, especially if the under-card is any good. Yesterday I had no less than 6 different people who literally have watched one or two fights at my house just because they wanted to hang out and drink beer on a Saturday, blow my phone up about them being at the game, asking me if I was doing fight night and even offering to help pay (a first). Like I said its a license to print money.

I agree the fight should of happened in their primes, but i seriously doubt it would of been a trilogy. Pacquiao definitely has a chance to win, but i feel like it would of been a UD for mayweather then like it's gonna be now. Ali vs Frazier was a competitive war, i don't see this fight going down like that, now or back then.

The fight will still help the sport, but i don't think it's the only thing that will keep boxing alive. Boxing is fine. Haven't you noticed how people constantly say boxing is gonna die or dying? People have said that a bunch of times after a big star leaves the sport, but it'll keep thriving and some more talented fighters will come along, it always happens. Boxing is doing fine and actually looking interesting as far as talent. I agree that the politics holds the sport back some though.

I'm still pretty interested in this fight, even though i'm pretty sure how it'll go. Just for legacy sake and to end the debate.

All three of those fights were great in a 3-1-2 order (IMO), and no way would we get that level of ferocity with Floyd-Pac.

Floyd and Manny met privately in Pac's hotel room for an hour. Actually looks like this fight could happen.

yep. very encouraging. apparently Floyd's only 2 concerns have to deal with the broadcasting. supposedly Manny's reps said they'd take care of it, no problem. so, this is very encouraging indeed! it's now or never...
