the legendary chavez never cared about going undefeated....if he did, he would have retired much sooner and boasted about it. he's legendary because of HOW he fought as opposed to just being undefeated for the sake of it. let's put it this way, die hard boxing fans will be talking about chavez for many years to come. in other words, there will be no floyd fights in an hbo legendary nights documentary any time soon. p.s. on a side note, cotto fought that same night and did well (which i think i was the only one who saw it) and i would have MUCH rather floyd fought cotto in a rematch to end his career. cotto deserved a rematch from floyd. but now it looks like he can cash in if GGG beats canelo for cotto's final bout. he's 154, but not afraid to face GGG in his final fight. now that's a true legend in my book.

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
I know for a fact he sparred because one of his sparring partners Cody Crowley has fought a couple times on my show and I interviewed him about sparring floyd (previously). I saw his IG and FB had pics of him and Floyd taken right after a session. Cody is a southpaw and Floyd used him for Manny as well as Connor.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
I'm still a bit sore on Alvarez though, just because he's been blatantly ducking Golovkin for about a year now.
It wasn't until he looked human vs Jacobs that they jumped at the chance of getting him in the ring.
I'm ridiculously excited for this fight.
I think things will be even for the first 4 or 5 rounds, but I think Golovkin will slowly start to take over once he discovers that Alvarez doesn't have the power to stop him.
I see a late TKO stoppage in round 10.
I think this fight will be the fight of the year and perhaps one of the greatest championship fights of all time.Comment
