Kept saying it couldn't be called a MMA match since there wasnt much 'Mixed' allowed, hahaha.

It won't matter though as both guys will make a tonne of dough.
Both MMA and boxing fans will be falling over themselves to buy this 'fight'.

I'll buy it if kicks are allowed. I would pay 100 bucks to see Floyd get leg kicked to death.

I know this is a boxing thread, but Albert I trust your MMA knowledge.
      Do you think there's;
      A. Any chance this fight happens.
      B. Connor fights Khabib.

Probably so they can have a third fight.

I'm also quite sure Connor has no interest in ever fighting in a real MMA bout again.
Making $100M sparring with Mayweather took all the hunger out of him.

don't forget floyd carried conor for almost 10 rounds before the quick stoppage....don't be surprised if it's more of the same in the octagon.

you couldn't be more right....who knows if we buy what they are selling this time. not only that, maybe we can see floyd as a guest fighter (DLC) in UFC 3 so one can get a chance to destroy him at their convenience.

That's exactly what I was thinking of.
Connor was stopped from exhaustion, not from a beating.
I'm sure there was a verbal agreement prior to that bout as well.

I’m the wrong person to ask because I thought the first fight would never happen. I think that modified rules thing is bs. I don’t see Conor agreeing to that.

I think the Khabib fight happens in September in Russia.

I didn't think the first fight would happen either.
But the same kind of slow buildup that occurred for Round 1 is repeating itself again.
I honestly believe Connor would agree to a water balloon fight if it made him richer.
My respect for him as a fighter has been greatly reduced over the last year or so.
But I hope you're right about a future fight with Khabib.

sorry to get a bit off of the boxing topic for this thread but my mind was boggled by floyd's recent comments.....now i can look forward to loma vs. linares, crawford vs. horn, bellew vs. haye (and maybe paq vs. matthysse).

Interesting bout between a legend who started fading a long time ago against a very talented power puncher who just can't win the big fight. Paq is the slight favorite but even against the choking tendencies of Matthysse I'm not sure he should be. This is one of the few Paq fights I've ever paid much attention to.

that should be a very interesting fight, especially without roach in his corner. what ever happened to the paq-horn rematch? or does paq get the winner of crawford-horn, if paq gets past matthysse?

speaking of respect as a fighter, what kind of respect does floyd garner for fighting a man who had no professional bouts and have it count towards his unblemished record of 50-0?

Pac ain't trying to see Crawford. He had two opportunities to fight him. He always ducked him.

Pac is just looking for paydays and if he had more options he would have chosen a less dangerous opponent than Matthysse. Pac would take the winner of Crawford-Horn only if Horn somehow won.

Both of these guys are past their prime. Interesting, but not a very meaningful fight. Crawford will rule 147 for as long as he wants.
