And I'm not sure either guy really presents that much of a threat of a KO loss.
I'm not sure Pac survives Matthysse.

Now we know why Crawford really won.

        Sore Feet Loser

Artur Beterbiev's promoter Yvon Michel is saying all the right things after prevailing in a bitter legal battle:

"We can not say that there are winners in this, there are just losers. We lost a year and a half of energy and money on both sides. Artur became world champion, but his career has not advanced as it should have. Quebec fans have not had the opportunity to see him progress and dominate the light heavyweight division."

Still, I could see the best thing for all would be for Top Rank to buy them out.

GGG now has until 12 PM PST/3 PM EST tomorrow (Wednesday, June 13th) to accept a 57.5-42.5 split or Golden Boy will finalize a deal with Daniel Jacobs.

EDIT: The fight is officially on for September 15th. Rumors have GGG getting 45%.

Daniel Jacobs would’ve given Canelo some trouble too. Canelo struggles a bit with quick fighters. Jacobs is a big, quick fighter. Glad to see rematch happen. I would love to see ggg ko him.

IMO, Jacobs wins an easy UD against Alvarez.

Don't know about easy. Both Jacobs and Alvarez surprised me with their performances against GGG, particularly in taking some power well.

Jacobs is kind of left out in the cold having to consider a tough fight against Sergiy Derevyanchenko which would pay a lot less money.

GGG is tailor made for Jacobs IMO.
He’s a slick boxer who fights well with an attacking opponent.
Alvarez surprised me too in how well he took Golovkins shots.
BUT, Alvarez was on PEDs, probably weighed 185, and he spent the entire fight back peddling, countering and fighting hard in the first or last 10s of each round.
It’s very hard to KO someone who is only looking to survive.
I’m confident that GGG scores a stoppage if Alvarez fights like he normally does.

I think Saunders beats all of them with
Jacobs probably giving him the most trouble.

I'm probably thinking too much about when Sergio Mora hurt him in their first fight. It's time to forget the Pirog KO loss which happened a while ago under extreme circumstances. I'd favor Jacobs against Canelo but few results would surprise me. Having said that I don't think Canelo goes near him. Daniel's best option is to wait it out until GGG gives him a rematch but that might come a few fights down the road.

                    Including GGG? Wow.

Saunders looked great against a "possibly injured" Lemieux but he has escaped with some close calls against other fighters who aren't in any of those guys' classes. He certainly has some great skills and might not have been in peak shape in those other fights but he still has something to prove to me. If GGG beat Canelo I think he fights Saunders in England for more mega bucks.

Erroll Spence VS Carlos Ocampo for Spence's IBF welterweight championship. Ocampo is out of the top 15 rankings in the WBC, WBA, and WBO but is #3 in the IBF. This is his first fight out of Mexico and he is a HUGE underdog (+1600). Tonight on ShowTime.

Ocampo actually looked competitive until he gets body shocked with one second left. That follow up right hook to the shoulder blade didn't help either.

With Spence and Crawford in the mix along with an assortment of capable opponents 147 has never looked so good.

I beg to differ. Leonard, Duran and Hearns all were at 147 in the 80s.

True, Benitez wasn't chopped liver either. The Duran-Palomino fight certified Roberto as elite 147 material as he was going all the way up from lightweight.

The potential is there for this to be a great era for welterweights also.

agreed....and they all faced each other back in those days. there is hope for the welterweight era post-floyd and post-manny.

Yes and no. Arum and Haymon aren't blood enemies like Arum and Oscar, but it takes a LOT of money for them to do business together.
