    Re: Boxing Off-Topic

There aren't too many ways this guy loses in the ring but he just got destroyed out of it.

    "Down Goes Beterbiev!!"

Too bad. I think this is a huge speed bump to an already slow-moving career.

I have it because I initiated a 7-day trial so I could watch the Inoue fight (which I missed) from Japan and then forgot to cancel. The problem with the plus service is that there is no dedicated app for it so you're resigned to having to watch it on your computer. The Horn-Crawford fight will start around 6:30 PM Saturday with the prelims starting three hours before that.

Trout-Charlo was boring but there was little doubt who won. Even with two knockdowns to Charlo's credit there was a judge that scored it 113-113.

ESPN+ took forever to get to the main event and when they did I almost wished they hadn't. Horn has heart and can take a punch but that's about it. Crawford toyed with him.

I just don't understand that 113-113 score. How does another human being believe Trout won that fight, considering Charlo scored two KD's?
I wonder if the solution to all these ridiculous decisions is going with 5 judges?
Or do we go old school and have perhaps 4 judges and then the referee breaks any draw's with his own 'overall' decision?

The Crawford-Horn fight pretty much went as expected. As you stated JB, Horn showed a lot of heart, but he is clearly not in the same league as Crawford.

Watch out for welterweight Jose Benavidez. He outclassed and smoked Frank Rojas in the first round last night and looks to be rising in the rankings adding to an already talented division.

I didn't realize he is the older brother of super middleweight David Benavidez.

they should make the judge who scores it like that (113-113) explain the reason why they did on their scorecard.....where was the horn that fought manny? or did manny make him look that good the night of their bout? based on this showing, crawford beats manny easily. crawford really deserves a payday at this point.

Horn was uncovered as the tough, unskilled fraud that he is. Unreal that people even thought he belonged in the ring with Crawford.

I can't think of one elite welterweight that Horn can beat. A Horn fight against Victor Ortiz or a blown-up Bam Bam Rios would be fun since they're both at about the same level as Horn.

Crawford's next fight will be very interesting:

Often injured Thurman fights "yet to be determined opponent" (translation: "stiff") in August.

Porter and Garcia battle in late August.

                  Pac-Matthysse next month.

Errol Spence versus Carlos Ocampo (22-0, 13 KOs) this Saturday.

Adrien Broner fought to a draw with Jesse Vargas in April. They have no scheduled fights.

Jose Benavidez destroyed Rojas last night.

I think Broner will stay away from this one and try to get a rematch with Vargas. Crawford's next fight might not be with any of these guys.

TBH, I was surprised when I read Pacquio wanted Crawford.
I'm not sure he'd get stopped in that fight, but it would be very one-sided.

This may be a pipe dream, but a Broner-Paq fight could be entertaining and worthwhile for both fighters.
They both like to fight at 143-144, both need a good payday and both could benefit from a win against a 'named' guy.
And I'm not sure either guy really presents that much of a threat of a KO loss.

Many promoter issues. Most of those guys are with Haymon; Crawford is with Arum. Haymon and Arum will do business when it makes money and sense for both parties. But I doubt risk-averse Haymon wants to put one of his welterweight "stars" in against Crawford, who will destroy any of them except for maybe Spence.

                      Crawford CRUSHES Thurman or Porter.

LOL! This is the best thing I've seen in a while.
Tyson throws water at Don King during the HoF weekend:

BTW, EA's 'new' sports game is a skateboarding game, lol.

In one of his latest books "Iron Mike" he talks about kicking Don King in the face just for the heck of it, lol!
He also kicked him out of a limo while on an LA highway.

A former bodyguard wrote a tell-all and told a story about Tyson slapping King around as well.

Looks like he still enjoys it, haha.

The two fight deal includes the stipulation that if there is a rematch that bout will land in the United States.
