    Re: Boxing Off-Topic

    Here's a fun fact.

Buster Douglas was 231 when he beat Tyson.
Next fight up against Holyfield he's 246, + 15lbs and gets decimated.

Ruiz first fight v AJ 268
    2nd Fight 283, + 15lbs......

            Good fight.

AJ won the decision and I'm probably too hard on him but I wasn't overly impressed. The reason I'm checking myself is that Ruiz is no easy opponent for anybody with his fast hands and iron chin.

Fury and/or Wilder are off in the distance but my advice to AJ:

            "Stay away from Luis Ortiz."

EDIT: Andy Ruiz just said "Who's ready for the third trilogy fight."

The two fighters sounded eager for a third but Eddie definitely didnt sound enthusiastic about it. Lol. They might as well do a third because fury and wilder already have a rematch clause after February fight.

I know that he doesn't want to see Ortiz. Who knows. I think they should definitely do a third fight. Will atleast keep ruiz in the mix. But ruiz definitely needs to take it more seriously. That training story is crazy. They wanted him in the gym in july and he didnt show up until sept. That is crazy.

Not sure why Dilian White continues to get frozen out.

Not sure what he's got to do to get a shot...

I agree man if your a true boxing fan you saw the chess match joshua put ruiz in..hat goes off to AJ simply because he outworked a obviously out of shape ruiz who didnt have the ability to capitalize on AJ s mistakes and could not apply pressure because of terribly slow footwork..AJ im convinced knows his chin is a big liability..he needs to stay awsy from the big 3 in the division as all would knock him out..I actually think****iz knows now he is the better fighter..if he got in shape enough to get closer to AJ through foot movement he wins 9 out of 10 times.****iz took his best shots and thought why didnt I just get in shape to move AJ cant hurt me..there will.be a 3rd fight..AJ s camp is smart ..on e tomatoe can let ruiz fight the meet him again..hoping ruiz has slipped..Wilder would knock.AJ out in 3 rds..fury would knock him out in 8 and ortiz beats him in 6..but he did put in the work for this fight and changed his course of PED s..lol

Because of rematch contract stipulations, Ruiz only banked $10 million (AJ could make $75 million) so it boggles the mind that Andy could mess with his potential future endings by being so undisciplined.

Watching interviews leading up to the fight it seemed to me that Ruiz was just content to have money that he never had before.

I don’t think he really cared about future earnings. Kinda living in the moment.

They are bringing up Usyk as Joshua's next fight possibly.

Agree..There is a bunch of new articles in which Ruiz actually blames himself for the loss by admitting he was very undisciplined. I did not know the particulars of his camp but according to the articles his trainers and dad set up camp in July and he strolled in in September. They were also concerned about his excessive partying and eating which caught up to him...Sad part about all this is that I believe he could stop Joshua if he got in shape to let his hands go and commit to cutting off the ring. I have to give him credit for going the distance and taking hard shots while being terribly out of shape..
