    Re: Boxing Off-Topic

How are PPVs on the Fox Sports app? Streaming quality good? 4K?

I previously watched matches via my cable provider PPV system, but I hate how they only let me buy them an hour before the scheduled start. For the Wilder/Fury rematch, I was thinking about ordering it on the Fox Sports app so I can invite people over and know for sure I'll have the match available (cable provider screwed me on this once). However, some sports apps (looking at you NBC Gold) have terrible picture and sound quality.

    Thanks in advance.

Lennox Lewis tweeted today that he 'heard' a new fight night is in the works:

he said for ps5 and xbox... I wonder who he 'heard' it from? maybe they contacted him for a facial scan or commentary or something - who knows, pretty vague, but looking at the boxing landscape, I think EA is willing to look into developing a new game since the sport has been quite healthy for years now with some big names. I think it's been 10 years so who knows...

Can't wait for Saturday night. I don't think it's going the distance. i think Wilder is going to knock Fury out in 5.

Man I am looking forward to it as well..Fury looks physically totally different and has changed his body..Although it has yet to be determined if all this new muscle will slow him down and hamper his movement . The two things he had in his advantage was speed and movement..I am wary of Fury because I think this was a quick turnaround from his last fight and I dont know if his eye will hold up..but that adds to the mystery of the fight..

I'm with you...there is just something telling me he is going to get careless and get caught...and if so there won't be no rising up like the Undertaker bidness happening this time. I hope it's every bit as good as the first tho.

Yea Im getting that vibe as well..but what has me thinking is that Fury shook Wilder several times during the fight that you necessarily couldn't see unless you noticed Wilder immediate body and legs reaction and how he immediately got into a clinch..I think Fury when he sets on his punches has some decent power and he brings 270 lbs with it..I really font believe the nonsense he is spewing saying hes knocking Wilder out in 2 by brawling..I loved the chess match pace and heart of the first fight and this is one of the rare pay per views I am looking forward to and would pay to see..I also think there is way more to the story of Fury switching trainers that will come out in the future..With fame comes a propensity to go back to doing the things that held him back for 3 years which I hope is not the reason for the fall out..

                  Agree with Wilder KO prediction.

Wilder is so crude as a boxer that he still has plenty of room to improve, and it appears the camp is working on developing his boxing skill. Fury already is a finished product as a boxer, and I don't think he can add that much more power legally.

But that's 3 rounds after Fury telling us when he'd KO Wilder...

Even though he's a great boxer for a big man, it makes sense this time for Fury to get inside and go for a quick KO, for two reasons.

One, Wilder's power is most lethal when he's at range and can get full extension on his punches. Plus he's a poor inside fighter and doesn't fight well while moving backward.

Two, Fury suffered a cut on his eye in his last bout, against Otto Wallin, that required nearly 50 stitches to close. That fight was only five months ago, not much time for a gash of that severity to heal. The longer this fight goes, the better the chance Wilder will reopen this cut and send a gusher of blood into Fury's eye.

I really think Fury is doing that to get in Wilders head..There is no way Fury is going in there and brawling for 2 rounds hoping for a KO..What I do see is Fury slowly walking Wilder down with his Jab, head movement, angles and sneaky right..The more I look at the first fight the more I see that Fury worked Wilder but when he got cute and Laid on the ropes he got dropped or when he didn't keep his head rolling he got dropped but thats part of Wilders strategy..One slip up and Im knocking you out...I am sure Fury remembers Wilders power and he had better be in shape to keep on moving..not necessarily the outside but constantly rolling and creating angles at a mid range distance..One thing is Fury body looks alot better than I have ever seen it...that always doesn't indicate being in tip top shape but it looks like he has stayed disciplined..

thought I'd share my first crack at animating with you guys here. MT stance, with some boxing punches and TKD kicks.

There is plenty of room to refine, but if I can crank out a move-set that's frankly better than some poor quality games out there or in development, it really speaks to dreams as a platform.

I'm just going to keep tweaking and adding moves - I've run out of buttons on the controller, but I can transfer them to any game universe...so I posted this in the dreams thread, but I could go straight boxing, TKD or muay thai, arcade or more gear to strategy (although not full sim, it's not possible in dreams)... what do you guys think?

Some of the animations don't come out the same as created, and most often there are hitches that need to be cleaned up and the footwork is the hardest part because without going into too much depth, the system in dreams works better when you manipulate limbs and joints rather than 'pull' them around or the entire character. But you have to do this to properly move the feet around which creates problems. Anyway, curious to know if any of you boxing or MMA heads have the game too or what you think of my crude work!

I don't bet on sports or really anything for that matter, but I saw the odds of Wilder winning by decision and it's kind of making me rethink that!!!! The figure I saw was 10-1 now I look again and it's ONLY 9-1 ... +900 so either way I mean I actually see that as a potential outcome - with Fury's chin I really see it as not only possible but it wouldn't surprise me in the least.
