Him, Spence and the other alphabet champs all mixing it up over the next 2 years should provide some really great matcups.

I agree, overall though that spence was impressive, but it led to a real dud of a fight, I was actually really disapponted in Garcia but I can't blame him. 2 weight classes was tough and a guy like Spence on top of that - he just didnt do much so it really wasn't worth the $$.
Definitely not worth the money. I was glad that I was able to see it with a 4 person split. Spence vs B would be great. I would also love to see Spence vs Crawford too. Yeah the pacman fight is a joke. It was kind of funny hearing the hesitation in pacman's voice when Spence said let's fight next.

The only welterweight on Earth who can challenge Spence is Crawford, and that fight will not be made in 2019 and probably not in 2020. Too much baggage between Haymon and Arum.

Spence would toy with Thurman and Porter, who are both overrated.

I'll be interested to see what the PPV buy #'s are for the fight. The problem (for boxing fans) is that they probably only need to be a fraction of what the viewership would have been on, say HBO (RIP) or Showtime for it to have been a worthwhile/profitable endeavor for the promoters. At $70 a pop, they can afford to have a small fraction of the viewing audience of a typical Showtime Championship Boxing card since the negotiated rate for those fights is probably still a lot less. That's the problem w/ the whole PPV model; a small number of people make tons of money almost no matter what, and everyone else is sorta worse off. Definitely the viewing audience, but since when has that mattered?

Honestly after seeing Benavidez I'm a believer. That kid can BANG.

He can definitely hit. I saw him before in an earlier fight and this latest one was on YouTube. He's calling out Dirrel but I'd to see him fight Callum Smith. A most intriguing matchup would be Dmitry Bivol versus Smith or Benavidez as the WBA 175 champ said he could go down to 168.

One, Benavidez fights at 154. Spence isn't climbing 7 pounds until he cashes out at welterweight with fights against Porter, Thurman, Pacquiao and hopefully Crawford.

Two, J'Leon Love is washed. Benavidez is solid, but Love made him look like prime Tommy Hearns. Plus Benavidez's coke conviction proves he can go off the rails at any time.

Benavidez's next fight should be against Dirrell. That will be a good litmus test.

David Benavidez* fights at 168. I must have not fully comprehended allBthere's post because I thought he was mentioning Benavidez as an aside not as a potential opponent for Spence.

Crawford just dominated his brother* (José) a few months ago at 147.

I don't know why Garcia is even considering staying at 147.

My guess would be it's a financial decision (if he does it). Below 147, you really are getting out of the big-money range of weight classes, and I suppose he figures that he'd be competitive at 147 against almost anyone except Spence. Which may well be true.

Wilder turned down $100 mill deal with dazn. Would've guaranteed 2 fights against Joshua. One in the UK and one in the states

I'm also hearing it was a 4 fight $120 million deal that he turned down.

                          (1) $40 million apiece for two fights with Joshua.
                          (2) $20 million for the fight with Breazeale.
                          (3) $20 million for a fight with another opponent after the two Joshua fights.
                          (4) Fully guaranteed even if he lost all 4 bouts!!
                          (5) Wilder should be immediately drug tested.

I agree with Eddie Hearn: Wilder is just a puppet whose strings are being pulled by Haymon.

From what I gather the DAZN price tag is now $19.95/month or $99/year unless you're already a subscriber. I just received an email (below) about it. My price will go up a year from now.
