Agreed. That ref should never work another fight. He was absolutely awful.

Agreed. That was Lawrence Cole-levels of incompetence. It's okay to mention it once or twice, but it's a righty-lefty matchup....what is anyone supposed to do? And that's not even mentioning the knockdowns by Stevenson that weren't counted as knockdowns; likely because of the ref's obsession with the lead feet.

Someone please convince me that Chavez could beat either Paul brother.
At this point, I don't think he does.
Can he please go away now.
He should have enough money to keep him filled with weed and Cheetos for the next 50 years.

My sons were very interested in watching this fight. I'm using the Paul brothers as a gateway drug to get them interested in boxing, lol. And it's working to a degree.
They'll watch some legit boxing matches when they're on TV.

The thing is, while I find some of these fights to be trash, if anyone in boxing objects to it, they should be more upset with 'real' boxing. Why is it a Youtube celebs and retired, old boxers are pulling in so much money for exhibitions?
Could it be because we have governing bodies like the WBA which have up to 7 (SEVEN!!!) champs in a single division?
And I will always be a proponent of removing many of the JR and SR weight classes.
There's no need to have 4 between 115-126. Go back to the original 7 with Cruiserweight.

As far as Floyd is concerned, he looked bad. He's 44 and age has finally caught up to him.
Not a knock on him, but he wasn't as sharp.
Saying that, he was definitely carrying Paul. There's a slowmo clip out there showing Floyd connecting on the back of Pauls left ear and he is clearly stunned and going down. Floyd actually holds him up.
And that's good business. If other Youtube D'bags see that Floyd will actually knock them out, they won't be so quick to lineup and guarantee Floyd 9-digits for future easy exhibitions.
If its the clip I think you are talking about, Floyd wasn't holding him up. Logan's was clinching, you can see his elbow was rigid. He was clinching and leaning on him but because of the weight difference it looked odd.

I don't know that either Paul would fight an over the hill boxer who weighs 185 pounds (at weigh-in). Otherwise that would be their NeXT fight.

Totally agree. That's a fight with too much risk for the Paul's.
I was just busting JR's chops that I'm not sure he could even beat one of them at this point.
A motivated Chavez? He'd murder them. But a steady diet of cheetohs and bong water has robbed him of ambition.
Hard to believe this guy was considered a legit MW contender at one point.

Curious about boxing on ESPN+ .... I have Disney+ and I'd consider getting their bundle that includes ESPN+ if their boxing makes it worth the price. How much boxing is on there and how big is their on-demand boxing library?

IMO ESPN+ is worth it in general. So much content on there across all the sports and boxing seems to be picking up steam on ESPN

Watching this Charlo-Castano card, Romero is a dirty punk and Yigit has noodle legs. Yigit spent much of the fight off balance.

Also unless there is something I'm missing (very possible), what more proof do we need that there are too many titles when a champion calls out someone and is laughed at for it not being realistic smh

Judging that 117-111 is why people like me only ever get lukewarm to boxing.

I understand what your saying but those fights tonight showed the true art skill science and heart of boxing. That Vidal vs Aileem fight was beautiful to watch from a boxer vs puncher contrast of styles and the mastery of infighting displayed by both was what boxing was all about. The charlo vs castano fight was also the same way two different styles and infighting and counterpunching at its finest, I thought the draw was fair but castano pressured the fight and to me win by a point would love to see that again. Great night of boxing for me .,

I started watching very late into the Vidal/Aileem fight.

I agree with you, I thought Castano won but I can't argue with a draw. I can argue with one judge giving it 117-111 for Charlo though.

That fight was more frustrating to me more than anything else. Charlo spent a lot of time patty cake jabbing into Castano's gloves and backing himself into the ropes. Think it was after the 4th round his trainer even told him to stop because he was giving rounds away. He didn't listen. He also never listened and went for the body. Castano spent the whole fight in a high guard but Charlo never made a full effort to attack the body.

                                Charlo beat himself
