You can throw a punch/kick as they're coming forward and circle off. Someone backing up doesn't always mean their back is literally touching the fence. As I say, was just an image I had in my head when I read it through, might play out completely differently with all the slips and new movement added.

but if all they do is back up, eventually they will hit the cage, and that defense is gone.

Now they are forced to engage at least once before circling out.

And circling out puts them in a vulnerable state, and it can be countered.

It might be a frustrating style to beat if someone is good at it, but it's certainly viable to do so.

Are takedowns against the cage in? How about default over/under against the cage.

You are making it seem like going backwards is the only way someone can do any damage or win overall. I'm picturing many ways to win going forward pressuring my opponent with Jabs, leg kicks ,push kicks, using slips, feints and much more. Everything is overhauled even the damage if somebody catches me while I'm pushing them Against the Cage then it happens but trust me with the damage up there then u will always be able to play going forward or backwards.

And if they do throw push kicks while going backwards you can always lunge to the side and catch em but with the levels of range its going to be harder to throw kicks at all if your closing the distance correctly and from what I read u can't throw certain kicks in certain ranges. Plus like I said the damage will always be there going forward and backwards , so this shouldn't even be in your concern my friend but will see what happens.

This is what you do to people that back up, brutalise them! Example starts at 2:32 https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=153s&v=6FBK4fRyisM by the way, how do I upload the video directly onto here without having to click on a link? I'm using an Android Tablet.

Are there counter stats for each fighter to separate the counter skills od each fighter?

And can you go a little more in-depth about the finish the fight subs?

Are TDs much harder to defend/ be knocked out of?

And can clinch strikes do more damage/cause rocks and KDs? Just make it so default clinch position is single collar, and so that clinch strikes dont interrupt transitions.

You’d have to really work to maintain dominant clinch position and both sides are at risk to get hurt in single collar/thai clinch.

But amazing job with the stand up. I hope they put you in charge of the clinch/wrestling for the next game.

Or is there any hope we see changes to both with patches?

If Im not mistaken, strikes carry more damage when you throw them moving forward.

Thats a decent advantage for the agressor.

What about this movement near the cage? Also can I dash out the way of a sprinting opponent?

It should be balanced, from what it reads to me it seems rather balanced but the beta will tell the full story.

Intercepting strikes and vulnerability works both ways. Sprinting aids in catching evasive opponents. I hope we can do shifting strikes while we sprint like T.J. Dillashaw etc.

You should be able to obtain head control/wrist control through pawing like how McGregor, Silva, AJ etc.

Clinch punch health events for realism. Catching punches like UD3 into clinch.
Clinch defense stance like TDD stance.
